I still firmly believe that in 2016 the injuries exposed the errors in Jogi's team selection. Stindl, if not Kruse, should've had a spot in that team up front. Then, even with Gomez's injury, we wouldn't have become as feckless as we were with the ineffectual Müller & Schurrle.

A similar story was true of taking Can, who the french isolated on the ball and took advantage of, instead of Dahoud, who had broken out that year. Sure Dahoud was inexperienced, but if we could have turned to him in our moment of need instead of Can, we wouldn't have conceded those goals to france that came from our sloppy possession play. That's why I don't care as much about experience, if a kid is a better player than the vets he's competing with for a spot.

Both England and Belgium are very top heavy, by that I mean dangerous forwards but the defence is a major worry

 

I've basically have Germany playing a 3-4-3 system wich gives them balance and enough offensive power to see off every team bar maybe brazil
