I'm hoping that he won't dodge my keen hotdog related queries this time. On another note, I'd like to let all the Marc Fisher haters out there know that they have a great opportunity to harass little Marc today and tomorrow. Apparently, they've let Fisher take over the Achenblog for a few days. You can reply to his blog ("comment") and he has to read it. Normally, I'm a big fan of Achenbach, despite his friendship with the little satan Fisher, but this could be too good an opportunity to pass up...So, I've been thinking of creating a little havoc for him. Thought I might bait him into revealing his unchecked fear of immigration. Tim
That's awesome. Fairfax, Va.: I am sure Freddy will be a hot topic today, given Alexi's recent statements. To Alexi, I say, take Freddy please. Our coach doesn't want him, the players don't play with him, and Freddy himself looks unhappy on the field. Is it too early to call Freddy a bust? Steven Goff: A bust? At age 16? No way. However, my contention all along is that he should be in a youth academy in Europe, developing his skills in an anonymous setting without the Nike/MLS/IMG hype. Just my opinion...
I like this one: Washington, D.C.: On the admittedy remote chance that DC United upsets Chelsea later this month at FedEx, would it crack the front page of the Post? Would Tony Kornheiser notice? Steven Goff: I'm sure it will get front page coverage, but I don't make those decisions. Tony who?
He answered my question about Namoff. Didn't realize he was flying out last night, hope all goes well. K
There was one -- Goff was asked how he felt about DC's chances; he replied that he thought there was a good chance in the first round, but doubtful we'd get further than that.
