Huzzah for the good guys! Hopefully the performance will rouse the lads to continue putting in the effort. Regardless of European play next year I just want them to start to believe and for Mikel to know what he can count on for next season. Good show, men. Good show.
That's a GREAT idea. The dude who pushes the fake noise buttons, could have an Ole button and just go wild!!! p.s. I still maintain my overall anti-fake-crowd-noise stance.
Is it just me or did Cedric all around (forget about the goal) look significantly better than Bellerin? I was specifically trying to watch him and it seemed like he looked faster, better passing, better positioning, better crosses, better decision making. And that is coming off of an injury with his first game action in months.
I didn't watch 2T very closely. Distracted by other things. But you may very well be right. And if so, I would say that had perhaps more to say about Bellerin's slide than it does about Cedric's prowess.
He also played 15 minutes in a game that was already 3-0. It's almost like playing a different sport at that point.
A 4-0 thrashing... when was the last time we did that? Seems like a super long time ago. BUT when I looked it up, I found that we've done that 3 times earlier this season. First there was 5-0 vs Forest and 4-0 vs Liege in the cups in Sept/Oct. Then there was 4-0 vs Newcastle in the league in February, a few games before shutdown. Oh well, here's to a few more before season end. Onward!
I was at two of those games. I also watch 89 documentary and Invincibles documentary before today's match. Pretty sure that makes me 100% responsible for the good results!
I thought he looked surprisingly good, but like Metro said, circumstances were what they were. He was doing on the right side what Tierney has been doing on the left. Which I think makes me more concerned about Bellerin than it does hopeful about Cedric at the moment.
Can't really comment on Cedric given the circumstances but Bellerin has been bad this year and was not good last year too. You compare his advanced stats to AMN's given a similar number of minutes, and Bellerin's not beating him in any defensive or attacking category: I think we should expect that if AMN continues to refuse to play at RB that Cedric has a decent shot at being the starter over Hector, given Hector's current trajectory.
It was nice waking up in the morning to see the notification of Arsenal 4 Norwich 0. I am sure Paige is going to be gutted.
Its injuries I would sell him as rbs are dime a dozen he does seem to play cm or inverted more which may skew stats @Super Llama
