I compared Christian Pulisic’s EPL debut campaign to that of other elite wings, and damned if his stats didn’t hold up.https://t.co/ctsb0ta8eE— Bill Connelly (@ESPN_BillC) July 16, 2020 1283823154859843584 is not a valid tweet id
Bummer. Hobro relegated. From what I've read, my guy Chris Cappis played really well all season and gained valuable experience. Big future ahead for him, I believe. Onward and upward perhaps? https://t.co/QNciz8KDaK— 3rd Degree (@3rdDegreeNet) July 20, 2020
This rumor has been going on in the twitterverse for a couple of days. Don't know how reliable it is. What we do know is that Red Bull Salzburg has the cash and they're ambitious. So we'll see....................I'm not against Sargent leaving Bremen. Quiet rumor of a potential Josh Sargent to RB Salzburg move, linking up with Jesse Marsch. https://t.co/qpdX14IaGu— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) July 21, 2020
I'm not sure it's possible to want a twitter rumor to be more true than this one. Out of the WB dumpster fire, CL games and an offensive system designed to highlight and enhance attackers. Soccer gods hear my prayer.

Pulisic has reached 10G, 10A in all competitions missing a few months this season due to injury, and he had a stretch where he didn't play for nearly a month due to a coach's decision. He probably should be named Chelsea's player of the season. 1286039177776238595 is not a valid tweet id 1286041377093103619 is not a valid tweet id
Source: Weston McKennie’s main suitors in England are Liverpool, Everton, Leicester and Wolves. As reported 2 weeks ago, if he stays in Germany he’s likely to move to Hertha Berlin where they’re giving assurances in player recruitment that they’re spending big.— MLS Transfers (@MLSTransfers) July 22, 2020
Following the signing of Leroy Sané, Bayern's strategy during this transfer window will be to expand the squad with talents who are able to develop & don't cost a lot of money. A replacement for Thiago is still missing + Sergiño Dest is an option for the RB position [@SPORTBILD]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) July 22, 2020 Update Campus: #FCBayern want to extend the contract with Angelo Stiller but the player hasn’t yet signed. Lot of German teams are also interested in a loan of Chris Richards. Amongst others: Union Berlin. Within the club they say: „A very interesting player.“ @SPORT1— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) July 23, 2020

Bayern have already loaned out Mai to the second division, and Richards will probably be ahead of Arrey-Mbi on the current depth chart, but he should still leave. They brought in a French CB from PSG that'll play ahead of him, and their best CB Sule will also return. Chris Richards (20), Malik Tillman (18), Jamal Musiala (17) and Bright Arrey-Mbi (17) are planned to train regularly with the first team next season [@Plettigoal, @SPORT1]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) July 25, 2020
Looks like it’ll be the Dutch second division for Soto. More English interest in Schalke’s Weston McKennie per the Monday edition of Kicker. Southampton reportedly the latest PL suitors along with Liverpool, Leicester & Newcastle. At this point its best to ask which clubs AREN'T interested in McKennie. It seems I've heard 75% of Premier League clubs mentioned. If there's a bidding war, I doubt a club like Southampton wins it. As a destination, there sure are options worse than Southampton. We can make a long list of players that have used Southampton as a stepping stone club recently. That includes a bunch of players that just lifted the Premier League trophy. Virgil Van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, etc. Their record departures keeps going. Luke Shaw to Man United for 34 million pounds. Morgan Schneiderlin to Man United for 32 million pounds. Callum Chambers to Arsenal for 18 million. Nathaniel Clyne to Liverpool for 16 million. It goes on and on. Based on their current squad, one can argue that McKennie might play right away at Southampton. Recent reporting suggests that he's looking for clubs where he can have an opportunity to play right away. It wouldn't be my top choice either, but he could also do a hell of a lot worse.
We've known it for a long time, but Norwich just announced Soto signing: 👋 Hello, Soto! 👋@USMNT youth international Sebastian Soto has joined the Canaries on a deal until 2023! 👊— Norwich City FC (@NorwichCityFC) July 28, 2020
Will be interesting to see what the exact regulations will be. If they’re fairy easy, BL will face a lot tougher competition to sign our youngsters. Kids grow up watching the EPL, plus there’s no language barriers. “Employment regulations will change when the UK leaves the European Union in January 2021, making it easier for Soto to get a work permit.” https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-...ational-sebastian-soto-signs-for-norwich-city
While I think they will face tougher competition, I don't know how much tougher. I think a lot of kids are now growing up watching our players in the Bundesliga. I also think that there's probably more young players who are fans of Barcelona or Real Madrid, and will watch a lot of La Liga. I's harder to sign there. I also think the biggest factor in signing for a lot of these kids will be where they can get game time the earliest. While they might prefer to play in a country where they speak the language and grew up watching a lot of the league, they are going to go somewhere where they know they will be given a chance to play eventually.
It's very interesting that Southampton and Leicester are after Wes. Those two clubs are the smartest spenders in EPL. It's not too surprising that he prefers England to Berlin. It's a lot closer to the US and would cut down on the wear and tear of flights plus there is a lot more exposure to his American fans.
There’s still EPL and Championship clubs that’ll give minutes to youngsters. And then there’s the money aspect.
