If he's released............................... Evidence he scored a brace in his 3rd game in row. 1164215427632902146 is not a valid tweet id
when scuffed crew talked about llanez physical maturity i was pretty excited, that skill set with some adult strength is too much for u19s
Way too early prediction to matter.......................Uly Llanez is gonna be like Josh Sargent. Won't participate in the 2021 U20 cycle. Been there done that.
not to take anything away from either player but forward and winger are definitely the spots with the highest likelihood of graduating from ynt tournaments just because the bar is so low
And fullback................................... If you have a pulse and an American passport, you can be considered for left back. In fact, it won't surprise me if the USMNT gives Dest his first cap as a left back.

From what I hear, yes. However, there is supposedly some big money behind the program and the school partner is one of the best schools in Europe. Have no idea of the cost, but that sure is a decent group of players.
I mean, if you're already playing for DA soccer and (maybe) private school, and where you really want to end up is Germany, why not instead pay for something that is perhaps equivalent and logically seems likely to get you closer to your goal? I get it, generally speaking. Proof's in the pudding, of course, and there are a lot of assumptions built into what I just said. I'm sure some kids are just there because, why not? It's a great experience on a number of levels.
Agree completely. I really don't know too much about the program, but I have heard there is some big money behind it. Like anything new, time will tell if this is a legitimate way to get closer to a contract in Europe. I am pretty sure this is the first year of the program, but not positive. There are so many questions in a program like this? Can they participate in a local league? Does the fact they attend school enable the kids to register in Germany for a year? I did see on their Instagram that they traveled to Vitesse to play in a friendly, so it looks like they are going to get some really good competition. In the end, I think you are right. Most of these kids are the younger side of the U16/17 age group, so maybe this is a perfect way to experience something different for a year and get some great education.
The interview with Mark Dillon in the tweet above maybe doesn't answer all your questions, but it I think helps set a decent tone for understanding what's going on in a general way. Given that there are a number of "year abroad" programs out there already, my imperfect understanding is that the innovation here may be its theoretical ability to serve comparatively high-level players (and clubs that could use them). Just a semi-educated guess on my part though.
The local San Antonio make clear that this is a permanent transfer and not a loan.
