Who are your most hated players in each position? Please put a team together playing in proper positions. Can be from any era. Mine is as follows:

GK - Barthez (complete idiot. Used to put his ego before the team in every game. Exaggerated saves, going for crosses he couldn't reach, generally being a git)

RB - Phil Neale (going back a bit this one, but there was just no excuse for Phil "Yes Boss" Neale.

CB1 - Rio Ferdinand (£130K per week !!! Big headed. over-rated, money-grabbing fake with no sense of loyalty)

CB2 -Anton Ferdinand (wants to be his brother. Crap, club going down so he gets mashed at a party in the USA, 2 days before a game)

LB - Ashley Cole (good player but another billy big boots and full of himself. bad attitude learned from his Arsenal days)

Left midfield - Stuart Downing. (Really unfair this but he just isn't an international player and yet McLaren keeps playing him because, if no-one actually challenges him he can cross a ball). He is the new Jason Wilcox.

Centre Midfield 1 - Frank Lampard (possibly the most over-rated player plating in top-flight football - actually no, that's still Rio F. Is good in an excellent team, and poor in an okay team. I hold him responsible for England being crap - or maybe that's McLaren's fault for selecting him)

Centre Midfield - Diego Simeone (someone should have given him a shoeing a long time ago).

Right midfield - Robert Pires (was a really good young player at Metz with a really good attitude. In his time at Arsenal he became the worst cheat and diver in the Premier League).

CF - Filipo Inzaghi - Bleurgh! Possibly the most dishonest, cheating, diving player in the game today (or is that Michael Owen?).

CF - Thierry Henry - Fantastic player with a head the size of the planet. Every goal accompanied by a toe-curlingly desperate attempt at a too-cool-for-school non-celebration. His pre-match pep-hug with Theo Walcott made me actually feel physically ill. Great player but desperate show-off.

Manager - Graeme Taylor - possibly the worst England manager ever, and now he's all over my radio demonstrating why he was soooooo bad (he selected Carlton Palmer for gawd's sake and played Pallister at full-back).

Only a blackpool fan would have something bad to say about Thierry Henry and Robert Pires. and don't knock stewart downing, he's a one man 3 to 5 year plan:p

Heh. You're still bitter about the hiding that Blackpool gave Roma in the Anglo-Italian cup.

Worth me pointing out that, much as he annoys me, Henry is in my all-time dream team.

i like to look at the pros more then the cons of players. my favorite players Alan shearer, but the man had ********ing daggers for elbows. nonetheless, he was a great goal scorer. Henry may be a diver, but he's the reason arsenal aren't 10th in the league:cool:

gk. oshoniyi - actually lists schumacher as his idol. thats enough for me.

lb. cole - same reason as op.

cb. pallister - most overrated cb ever. fortunate to play in a watered down epl with one of the greatest gk behind him.

cb. henchoz - everything about him was to be disliked. the main reason i put him down is for the handball in the 01 final of the facup.

rb. markus babbel - people have too much sympathy for this shirt pulling, hacking cheat.

rm. brian laudrup - could of been so much more if he didnt let things get to his head.

cm. lampard - reminds of those schoolyard glory hunters. nuff said.

cm. savage - dirty lil c--t.

lm. zenden - 1 hit wonder. great at euro2000 then nothing.

cf. owen - another player who let things get to his head. saying things like he could be leading scorer at 02 and 06 world cup, etc.

cf. drogba - i think he is the easiest player to dislike for his nonstop complaining and diving.

    Hmm... current players?

    ----------------Chilavert
    Muscat---Materazzi---Simunic---Montero
    ---------------Roy Keane
    ----------Pires----------C. Ronaldo
    -----------------Deco
    ----------Totti
    ----------------Diouf

Some of the positioning is pretty dodgy, but I had to fit people in. And I know Chilavert isn't current, but I can't think of any current goalkeepers I dislike. Except maybe Kahn.

    Real Madrid
GK: Tony Meola: the left post.

RB: Gary Neville.... got way too many caps for being a bad player.

    CB: Rio....overrated.

    CB: Roque Junior: He sucked.

LB: Ashley Cole becaus his wife is hot. :) Who cares if he wants more money!! It's not liked Zidane or Pele are Mother Teresa.

RM: David Beckham because he played for Real Madrid. Anyway, I hate pretty boys... soccer players should be ugly liked Diego Simeone. :) Oh... he could do better than Posh Beckham.... If I am David Beckham, I will get better looking chicks than that ********. He actually earned my respect when he cheated behind her.

CM: Nakata: Plenty of talents, but zero heart. "You can have the ball if you tackle me...."

    CM: Mihajlovic = racist.

LM: Blokin: He was from the USSR... so he was a "left-winger". Nothing gainst Commist, but he is a ********ing racist.

FW: Henry: Most classless whiner in the game.... he talked too much when he lost. "I don't dive".... "it was not an offside"..... "It is an offside".... "It is a penalty".

FW: Paolo Di Canio = racist.

GK - Jen Lehman (Arsenal) - I can't stand his theatricals and the way he always gets involved with the ref when there is no need

DR – Lauren (Portsmouth) - he's just a dirty player

DL – Ashley Cole (Chelsea) – money grabber

DC – Vincent Fernandez (Nott’m Forest) – came on loan to Grays and was absolute pony. One of the worse players I have ever seen.

DC - Martin Keown (Arsenal) - scumbag

MR – Kieran Dyer (Newcastle) – Prima donna

ML - Sam Saunders - (Dag & Red) just an annoying little twerp

MC - Lee Bowyer (West Ham) - Idiot

MC – Deco (Barcelona) – Great player, can’t stand his diving antics

SC - Jamie Slabber - (Stevenage) when at Grays he so lazy

SC – Jason Hallett (Chelmsford City) – when he played for Canvey Island he smashed us twice, not a particularly good player though

GK: Van Der Saar - he screwed up so many routine saves at Juve

RB: Augustine Eguavoen - it was between Salgado or him. He ruined Gianfranco Zola's USA 94 and possibly his NT career although Zola played at Euro 96. Zola was capable of more an should have done more at NT level

CB: Ivan Helguera - he is a CB who likes to go forward but he can't defend if his life depended on it

CB: Josip Simunic - how could anybody rugby tackle a player and not get sent off? Can you give an answer Graham Poll?

LB: Roberto Carlos: - so good at going forward. So shit at defending

RM: Beckham - most overrated player ever. So many players have bent the ball before him and they have done it better than this prettyboy

CM: Nicola Berti - the biggest donkey to have played for Italy. I haven't seen a clumsier player wear an azzurro jersey

LM: Nuno Valente - I think he is out of position. He's diving cheat and absolutely talentless. A cry-baby too.

ST: Henry - his play at the World Cup was annoying. Puyol and Cannavaro should have knocked him unconcious

ST: Gustavo Dezotti - worst player to have played in a World Cup Final. He's a worse striker than Guivarc'h

ST: Ibra - he is spastic. He would try to do some fancy crap but he would trip over the ball, get dispossessed or the ball would go out. His play made many Juve fans sick

Coach: Arrigo Sacchi - biggest backstabber ever. Roby Baggio and the Azzurri's fantastic defence carried the Italy team to the 1994 Final and Baggio never played again under Sacchi in the NT after his penalty miss. His tactics were questionable when coaching Italy

    Gallas---Marquez---Materazzi---Grosso
    -------Scholes-----Deco--------------
    C. Ronaldo------------------Quaresma
    ---------Rooney---C. Blanco

A team full of dirty thugs and divers, this is. Gallas is the only one who's not dirty or a diver - he's just a whining, ungrateful prick.

I was waiting for somebody to put Blanco, he can outdive anyone on this thread and he is a wife beater. I don't personally get Rooney but I am guessing it has something to do with you being a Chelsea fan.

As far as ego-maniacal A-Holes go Ibrahimovic is at the top of my list. His ego far exceeds his talent and I don't particularly think he lacks talent.

I am too lazy to make a fully list.

    Nat'l Team:
    France
Coach: Luis Aragonès. May I say him "********ing Spanish" ?

Letizi - "Lexomil Man" got many people on nerves.

    Grosso - Australia, 1/8 final.
Heinze - More than violent: vicious.
    Materazzi - Yes, I'm French, what d'you want ??
Jurietti - French butcher AND clumsy.

    C. Ronaldo - as everybody else.
Van Bommel - the only way to NOT hate this player is to be a Bayern fan.
Beckham - he's no more a soccer player since a long time. Just a marketing thing.
Fiorèse - there's a ton of stories about him. See above.

Di Canio - fascist. Nothing more to say.
    Inzaghi - Il Cattivo.

-> Fabrice Fiorèse, right winger, was trained in Lyon and quickly joined Guingamp where he stayed 5 years. He comes to PSG in 2002 and gains a solid reputation of an average player, a "porteur d'eau", good passer - gives many assists to Pauleta - and great diver, "danseuse", and bad words about Marseille in order to be popular amongst Paris fans. You guess what the Marseillais think about him, especially as he obtained penaltys against them (noted 9/10 by diving judges).

On 31st August 2004 at 10.30 pm he signs at Marseille. He said Paris was "a prison" and joining his "club of heart". PSG was surprised by this move and had to play the Champion's League without any right wing. It is said Fiorèse wanted to join his friend Frédéric Déhu who had signed in Marseille a few weeks before. The Parisians were first not happy to lose their sweeper. Furiously, they accused Fiorèse to be gay. He's not but it shows how he's judged.

The player the Marseille fans hate the MOST all around the world joins a club that just sold Drogba and Mido and bought... Bamogo and Luyindula. Marseille has no striker, everyone was waiting for a real n°9 and they get a winger ! Fiorèse played very little with Marseille though the team was very weak that season. He was loaned to Qatar the next year, then to Lorient at the beginning of this season. A part of his first match, against PSG, where he scored twice, he was injured or on the bench. Lorient is a very little club but has to pay his wages, around 70 000 euros/month.

Fiorèse is now complaining about his situation...

Fiorèse is considered as a traitor in Paris and a bitch in Marseille and a useless waste of money in Lorient and...

He won the Ballon de Plomb (Lead Ball) 2004.

Ok here's my motley crew team to take on your guys:

    ------------- Anelka ------ Mido
    Maradona --- Donovan --- Keane --- Beckham
    ----------------- V.Jones ------------------
    -----------Bilic --- Tassotti --- Navarro ------
    ------------------ Schumacher

GK: Harold Schumacher - ok so he's like 55 years old but I'm sure I could convince him to come out of retirement once he finds out who some of his team-mates. Still can do that flying tae-kwan-do kick that made him so notorious.

RB: David Navarro - former Jane's Addiction and Chilli Peppers guitarist – currently playing fullback at Valencia. Has a nasty right hook punch.

CB: Mauro Tassotti – Italian hardman who, like Navarro – loves breaking noses.

LB: Slaven Bilic – Croatian scumbag and play-acting guru whose antics got Laurent Blanc banned from 98 WC final

DM: Vinnie Jones – Will keep Beckham company at the movies. Team castration specialist.

RM: David Beckham – team’s designated penalty taker – included mainly for marketing reasons.

CM: Roy Keane – Walked out on his club and country, career-ending tackles – will fit in nicely.

AM: Landon Donovan – versatile attacking midfielder who can play anywhere on the field – provided it’s in California or Korea.

LM: Maradona – will go down great with the English fans. May get sponsorship by Coke.

FW: Mido – Just loved watching him throw a fit when getting subbed at African Nations Cup SF vs. Senegal.

    FW: Nicholas Anelka - Sulker

A few players out of position here:

GK - Kahn - I hate him for what he did to Michael Mols.

RB - Alan Thompson - He just got on my nerves.

CB - John Terry - I hate him. Just something about him.

CB - Chris Sutton - Big dirty scum bag.

LB - Ashley Cole - For me he is everything that is wrong with football. Arrogant, greedy, selfish. Everything about this little sh1t annoys me.

RM - Nuno Capucho - I can never get his quote out of my head. "I'm like a fine wine. I get better as the season goes on" Well he never did get any better.

CM - Neil Lennon - Wanker

CM - Peter Grant - Wanker

LM - Frank Lampard - See John Terry.

F - Egil Østenstad - Simply the worst player ever to wear a Rangers top.

F - Francis 'fox in the box' Jeffers. Runs Ostenstad very close to being the worst player ever to grace the top.
