Matador's recent update of its catalog includes an otherwise unannounced catalog item: OLE-645 2 3XCD Yo La Tengo -- Greatest Hits Plus B-Sides Matador I was hoping for a new album next year but between this release and the album that's coming out in January with YLT backing Chris Stamey of The dBs, I'm guessing I'm not going to hear anything new for awhile. As for 3 CDs, it would be nice if the third CD was for previously unreleased stuff but since they put out Genius + Love = Yo La Tengo a few years ago, they've probably run that well dry. Perhaps the third CD is actually a DVD of videos and live performances. Regardless, I'm a sucker and will probably buy it.
