Who would Dnipro's potential opponents be if we win?

In the past the draw for the Round of 32 and Round of 16 were made on the same day. I mistakenly thought that was what was installed for the current UEFA Europa League season.

The draw for the Round of 16 is February 27, 2015. Plenty of time to look at the potential opponents.

The only teams that Dnipro or Dynamo wont face in the Round of 16 are the Russian teams since UEFA emergency panel ruled that Ukrainian and Russian clubs would not be drawn against each other "until further notice" due to the political unrest between the countries.

Any chance Shakhtar Lviv gets a score draw in Munich?

You do mean Shakhtar Donetsk, don't you? And, yes, there is a chance.

Coupled with Shakhtar's draw Tuesday, the 2-0 victory by Dnipro over Olympiakos is making it a decent start to the continental Spring for Ukraine.

    Dynamo are next at Guingamp.

What the heck is going on? Dynamo have already had two players red-carded AND two players had left the game hurt due to Guingamp's fouls!

I am not seeing the game, can anyone fill me in?

I guess, it is ok that it was just Guingamp. They could only win 2-1. Now, Dynamo has to try to beat them in Kyiv without Mbokani, Yarmolenko, Belhanda, possibly Lens and Sydorchuk. Who's going to play?

Great result by Dnipro and really good by Shakhtar. Chance of an epic Ukrainian choke by Dnipro and Shakhtar will likely lose 3-0 but massive respect to them for playing Bayern tough at home.

Lol @ Dynamo not having like 5 attacking options in the 2nd leg not even including Bezus. Held out decently with 9 men and should have a reasonably good chance at progressing in Kyiv if the fans give them a boost. Looks like this French side isn't that good, Dynamo should win if they dig deep and don't make any boneheaded mistakes.

So, Dynamo advance on the strength of the 3-1 home victory. Dynamo will, most likely, get penalized for fan behavior when they attempted to invade the pitch at 3-1.

Dnipro are tied 1-1 midway through the second half against 10-man Olympiakos. Unless Dnipro totally collapse and allow 3 goals in 20 minutes, they are also in.

So, Dnipro score a late equalizer and draw Oluympiakos away, 2-2. Dnipro advances 4-2 on the aggregate. They are already doing better than I thought they would.

RU press gonna have a field day with this - "Ne0-Nazi Ukrainian Dynamo Kiev Fascists supporters Attack Guingamp reserve players, traveling fans, orphans, puppies, Jesus." Joking aside, who/what was being targeted by the onrushing fans?

Teodorzcyk had a phenomenal game. Held the ball well, responsible for two goals. Gusev also outstanding, though Guingamp was not particularly inspiring.

Anyone else looking forward to a potential RU vs. UA. I don't expect much else out of Dnipro or Dinamo M, but Zenit v Dynamo is a real possibility in the later rounds. Zenit may need to hire a private army to make and play the return leg.

Putting up a banner "Crimea is Russia" is looking for trouble...

If the French were provoking with Russian help they deserve all to be locked up and pay dearly to go back to frogland.

Guingamp supporters put up the banner? At this point every visiting Ultra group is going to try to provoke using pro-Russian rhetoric. UA ultras have to be disciplined within the confines of stadiums; however, application of 'natural law' for such provocations is a-okay with me - on the streets of course

I'm calling bullshit on that banner, same type of excuse Dnipro fans made doing that to Coppenagen in Kyiv. Imo they are lying, typical engrained soviet mentality.

Olympysky security is a joke, do any of you remember a Champs League game a couple years ago when a Dynamo fan ran onto the field and disrupted a goal scoring opportunity in the box around the 85th min with Dynamo chasing the result lol?!?!?!

Great results today. Crossing my fingers that Dnipro draw Brugge or Besiktas tmrw!

Sounds like a French flag was mistaken for a Russian flag - lol.

Anyone hear Yarmolenko and Belhanda are each facing a 3 game suspension, bending appeals?

Lol these dudes are wild. They had to put a metal fence up in front of Dnipro's ultras, they continue to do whatever they want in Kyiv. Can't believe Dnipro didn't get a stadium ban in Kyiv for the shit that was pulled.

Yarmolenko will be lucky to get it reduced to 2 games. Sucks for Dynamo, maybe at full strength and playing in front of a packed Olympysky they'd beat Everton but not anymore.

How can one confuse a French flag for a Russian flag. Aside from the orientation (Landscape vs. Portrait), the colors are not in the same order!!! I truly despair at the quality of our fandom!

P.S. it is my understanding that Yarmolenko's suspension stayed at 1 game and is now completed. What about Belhanda?

So Dynamo advance to the EL quarters with an emphatic 5-2 victory over Everton (6-4 aggregate).

Awesome win. Sucks for England, but great for Ukraine.
