Yes Minister to become Yes President ?

    Rumours abound that the BBC will let someone create a US version of Yes Minister. Personally, I can't see how it can be better than the UK original, or how it can be translated effectively by US networks. I fear it'll be like a poor version of Will and Grace or something.

    No thanks, I can't bowl or bat...........

    ..............Oh sorry, I misread the message. I thought someone would have been interested in an American version one of the greatest comidies ever made. An American version of The New Statesman might work though (the one with Rik Mayall as Alan B'stard.

    I'm not sure anyone in America has ever heard of Yes Minister. I vaguely recall the show, but I lived in England as a kid.

    I think I saw a couple of minutes of it once when I was flipping past the local PBS station.

    I don't know if it'll work here. People have a hard time with the concept of lampooning the president.
