Not really concerned about Yaser's situation. With all indications that Brighton, Newcastle and Porto are interested I think it is in the cards that soon he will leave. The Duran and Sini situations though seem more unclear and ominous.
Came on min '56 today for first minutes of the season. They tied 0-0. Not seeing much commentary on performance yet. Game wasn't televised.
This is a great write up on Watford's game and situation right now. https://tombodell276.medium.com/wat...t-but-hornets-yet-to-strike-gold-c860b29fc410

Sadly they lost and interestingly lots of posts today speculating he is pushing for a last minute move.
Some stats from today. I've seen Watford's coach challenging Yaser saying he needs more end product...but it's tough when the guys upfront miss their chances and he is starting a bit deeper on the pitch according to these charts...
I like his game. I do not see him playing 8 as some people around here envision but as a backup #10 or winger would be where I think he excels in my opinion.
He's a 10 for me or inverted winger, but what I like is that he gets stuck in and actually recovers the ball - often!
Crazy how even the supporters in watford saying hes not even good enough for watford to push for a move. These brits be delusional sometimes.
I like to think that the british are basically americans if americans had an actual top league. The stuff that comes out of both sides mouths is comical, and they've always been like this (both americans and the british)

from that highlight reel I actually think his play is much more suite for an 8. He's no Bernardo Silva so let's not go crazy. That being said, very hard to judge when players around you are just not apt to his skillset.
It's just the nature of fandom. All sorts of opinions and points of view. I'm not sure that Yaser is what they need or that their style of play and what the championship dictates rewards what he prizes.I read lots of posts by Watford fans praising his play - who seem to understand what he is doing. The few critical posts I read where frustrated by perceived wastefulness - but when you watch the tape those probing balls reflect tremendous vision and when they hit home they create true goal scoring chances - it's exactly what you want someone in his position to do. At macro level, I actually think his deep ball passing success rate is high...he's creating chances that his teammates don't seem to know what to do with... Alas. It really would be best for him to go somewhere where his skills will lead to goals...
