Keeping a side-eye on our two U20 CBs (likely part of our cancelled U20 cycle) in Europe. Carrera at Holstein Kiel and Tomkinson at Norwich. Tomkinson in the 18 for Norwich's preseason friendly today. 👀 19 yr old 🇺🇸 CB, Jonathan Tomkinson, on the bench for Norwich's friendly vs 5th tier side King's Lynn Town F.C. !! https://t.co/UG6kSzfw1Y— 🇺🇸 ⚽ east (@eastdeflection) July 16, 2021
Most of these Wright/Sabbi/Amon types are probably going to have to leave Scandinavia for a higher level just to get their foot in the door of this national team... same with most of those in Austria like EPB/Booth/Servania. The exception is obviously Brenden Aaronson who now established with the A team, and maybe Christian Cappis who does get some call ups but not caps. Emmanuel Sabbi started and played 74 minutes for Odense in the first Danish Superliga match of the season. They defeated last year's runners-up FC Midtjylland 2-1 with a late winner in second half stoppage time. pic.twitter.com/iiBcgPh5Gn— American Soccer Express (@USMNTExpress) July 16, 2021
Seattle Sounders youngsters Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez and Sota Leo Kitahara on the move to FC Pinzgau Saalfelden. No word if these are loans or permanent deals from the Sounders yet https://t.co/Df39zOjheg— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) July 16, 2021
The 🐐 @DiMarzio reporting 🇺🇸 Gianluca Busio is heading to Serie A's Venezia for around €4 million ($4.7M), joining fellow Yank Tanner Tessmann (who moved yesterday). https://t.co/TDL3ART3KP— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) July 16, 2021 Venezia are in advanced talks to sign 19een midfielder Gianluca Busio from Sporting Kansas City. Deal at final stages for Serie A side after Sassuolo approach weeks ago. @DiMarzio 🇺🇸 #MLS #Venezia— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 16, 2021 The year is 2047, the United States population has been reduced to zero as the last resident leaves to go play soccer in Europe...
Geez, this is getting out of control! Spain: Musah, Dest, Gomez France: Weah, Konrad England: Pulisic, Steffen, Otosowie Italy: McKennie, Reynolds, Tessmann, Busio Germany: Brooks, Reyna, Clark, Adams, Richards, Green, Scally Portugal: Cannon In play: ARobinson, Hoppe, Sargent, CCV, Dike, Gomez, Gallejos, , Araujo, Kayo, Paredes, Nyeman
That report above also says Busio will be heading to Italy next week for his medical and to sign the contract. I wonder if that means he'll be withdrawing from the Gold Cup roster.
This is me being very, very happy. Give me two more to make it Venezamerica! At least one of the fancy right backs on deck please: Araujo, Herrera, or Duncan would be lovely.
yup, if hes not playing against Canada, its totally understandable now. Lock him down and secure that move. More important.
^ So is Soto, technically, whether or not we think he'll actually play for Porto American Chris Goslin is in the process of finalizing contract terms with FK Senica in the Slovakian Super Liga. Season starts July 24. https://t.co/6JgFLehCm1— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) July 16, 2021 Haven't heard that name in a long time...
I can't believe SKC only got $600k more than FCD got for Tessmann. FCD killing it. Who's the next home grown signed? Corcoran?
Im still holding out hope for Pomykal......... he needs some good luck here to get back on track from the injury bug. I also feel that Busio for only 600k more than tessmann is a bargain.
I assume there must be something in the incentives or sell-on fee that vastly separates the two, because otherwise I agree that's a head-scratcher.
Price is expected to be $7m once you include add-ons. That's just above Busio's market value. https://t.co/AR9kar3eH6— Manuel Veth (@ManuelVeth) July 16, 2021
Can you or anyone give a rundown of what said "add-ons" usually are? I've heard of bonuses for reaching appearance milestones but that's about it. With all these transfers lately, it seems like there is a lot more to "add-ons" than I'm familiar with.
