Turner got megged from point blank. Not his issue at all. From there the keeper has to make himself big. Unfortunately when you do that the one area you are vulnerable is the 5 hole.
Shrug. Reyna went to a club that has been known over the last couple of years for having too big of a squad. Forest acquires and acquires and acquires. [So much so that they're in FFP trouble.] Playing time was/is going to be difficult. What's happening there is kinda what everybody thought was going to happen there. We can go back and read the reactions to the move on his board. It sucks. Sometimes players/agents make decisions that make you scratch your head as an outsider. Then when it goes down just like you thought it would.......................you're like "didn't we all see this coming? Even I could see it." Why did you force your way out of Dortmund to go to this mess? And why did you actually extend your contract with Dortmund before you did? Cuz you could have just put your nose to the grindstone at Dortmund and walked away to the club of your choosing when the contract ran out. Now you can't do that either. Now you're going to go back to the same situation you were in before. Best case scenario is to STAY HEALTHY the rest of the year. Don't pull a calf muscle in training. Its surprising, actually, how few games Reyna has started in club soccer since the start of the 2021/2022 season. Mostly due to health, and then coach's decision. This season, 23/24, he's started one game in club soccer. That's it.
Yeah but that leaves a hole on whatever side you drop your hand. Now the hand IS the quickest piece you can move but still there is no "right" answer here. Well except to ensure your freaking back doesn't let the guy get behind you in the first place.
The best answer is often the futsal split save. All goalies should play futsal, no other format gives them so much experience with 1v1s.
Yeah, but it makes an ugly front page. Oppsie! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/l...-FA-Cup-fifth-round-2023-24-Live-Results.html
From the local newspaper. Matt Turner: Made two big saves before the break and looked pretty assured in the first half. Will be disappointed with the goal conceded. Rating: 6.5/10
Venezia-Cittadella 2-0, le pagelle: Svoboda le azzecca tutte. Venezia-Cittadella 2-0, Here is my best translation…. Dal 59' Bjarkason 6,5 Passes the test with an average game under the eyes of the USMNT coach, Berhalter. He seemed to risk a lot in the second half when he was burned by Tessiore in the penalty box. Luckily the GK Joronen was there to save it. He came out in the 59th minute for Bjarkason.. Tessmann 5,5 - Si vede poco nel centrocampo arancioneroverde. Little action in the orange green midfield..
‘Well-rounded’ - USMNT star Josh Sargent tipped to attract ‘real interest’ in next transfer window as he closes in on personal best goal return | Goal.com US Chris Sutton (former Norwich striker) added on the admiring glances that will likely be shot in Sargent’s direction: “To play as a central striker successfully, you need to have a rounded set of attributes. Sargent is good in the air, good with his back to goal, and his link-up is okay. The thing that has surprised me is how much he's developed with his movement in behind. That is a part of his game that has improved drastically - perhaps that period behind Pukki helped him learn that side of the game. Not every striker has every single attribute, but he's pretty well-rounded in all departments. With his profile and age, I'm sure there will be people watching him closely and with real interest. But he needs to discover a consistency. He has missed a fair chunk of the campaign, and any potential suitors will want to see him do it over a more sustained period of time, especially given the money they'd likely have to pay to sign him.”
I’m being told I need to watch more Philippe Sandler, who is 27 years young starting for NEC and getting a ton of praise for his work. He’s starting central defense , up 2-0 in a big 6 pointer for them
De La torre starting for Celta Vigo too against Almeria. They need the three here. I really wish Granada and Cadiz could get out l, they’re soft spots for me, especially Granada, but not looking good
AC Milan get a big 3 points against Lazio, and Celta Vigo get a big 3 points against the bottom table side. That gives them a 6 point gap, basically 7 with the goal differential from the bottom 3 sides. Monaco goose eggs with PSG, which is basically the only team they should consider as a "good point" with.
