Brooks benched the week after knocking his teammate into an attacker causing a PK. Kicker has him with an average score of 3.95 placing him as the 178th highest rated BL player.
This escalated from earnest desire for fair and balanced coverage to counter shallow hype to a spite but for me.
Oh also Jedi got smoked on a goal, Wes was a bit sloppy/loose with his passing when he had a chance to make an impact, Trusty had a nice overlap where he avoided a challenge and kind smashed in the cut back but it fell to a teammate for a big chance, Musah shot instead of squaring for a Pulisic tap in.
Brooks hasn't played for the USMNT in more than two years at this point. Whether he's on the bench or playing doesn't seem to be relevant. By the way, Tyler Adams hasn't played for the USMNT in a year.
I know he’s not a YA yet, but Brandon Vazquez just scored a man’s goal in the MLS East Final. Excellent finish.
For those who missed it in the other thread.... PAGELLE E TABELLINO MILAN-FROSINONE 3-1: Maignan-Jovic decisivi, Hernandez imperioso - Calciomercato Musah 6 Pulisic 7 – Dal 78′ Traore s.v. Arbitro: Marchetti di Ostia Lido. GOL: 44′ Jovic (M), 49′ Pulisic (M), 74′ Tomori (M), 83′ Brescianini (F)
Musah was offside on that play. Pulisic imho should have been MOTM. He was the only attacker who made things happen. His goal today was a thing of beauty.
Musah has the skills to hang around the Champions League teams for a long time, but man, it doesn't seem like he's progressing. Other than improving markedly as a defender, he seems to be the same guy as when he was 17. He's probably even less aggressive offensively. He's falling into Nagbe-ism.
The only news possible is good. Scally played, Maloney assist and tackles, Wes run around (ignore the unforced errors), Wright good underlying numbers, Sargent back in training, Terrance Boyd scored (I assume), Busio assist in the 2nd phase of a corner, all the FotMob and WhoScored and SofaScore ratings are going to the moon!
He's also literally been in the IFFHS World Team of the Year for the last three seasons. Arguably best in the World at his position for three straight years. [Joao Cancelo was the FIFPro left back in their team of the year in 2023. Davies had been in that team previously too.] People do understand..................we haven't had a USMNTer named CONCACAF Player of the Year since 2013. That was Tim Howard. Maybe, just maybe this is Pulisic's year. We'll see if he can stay healthy. But there are certainly other contenders. Gimenez at Feyenoord is having a great season.
He wasn't acting like he knew he was offsides. Regardless, the proper play was to square it to Pulisic for the easy tap in and Christian was visibly upset that it didn't happen. As good as Musah is, to this point he has lacked that final ball. I agree with you that Pulisic had a MOTM performance. He was on point for sure.
Ream and Robinson both started for Fulham at Anfield. 2-2 right now with the half approaching. Great game. Ream just had a goal called off for offside.
