Sorry if already posted, I just saw this.

    Group D
    Man United
    Villarreal
    Lille
    Benfica

    Group E
    Milan
    PSV Eindhoven
    Schalke
    Fenerbahce

    Group F
    Real Madrid
    Lyon
    Olympiacos
    Rosenborg

    Group G
    Liverpool
    Chelsea
    Anderlecht
    Real Betis

I think PSV has a chance to go through this group. I guess group F is a bit of a stretch YA wise, but technically we still have a couple there if I am not mistaken.

We'll see and I hope so, but PSV is club in a little bit of turmoil right now. They lost several players during the transfer season, and the Korean defender (Lee) on their team is speaking out about the club's unwillingness to let him transfer to England. So far they drew Heracles away and won 2-1 against Vitesse at home. Not bad, but not stellar either. Hopefully, this new version of the team will gel before they get too far into group play.

I think the groups are pretty well balanced compared to past years.

Understood, but some of us will want to compare YA groups with non-YA groups to see if anyone got the shaft or an easy road. Also, most of us follow the CL regardless of YAs so we're interested.

I don't see PSV picking up a point on the road, therefore this will be the end of the road for them.. :(

I was told that ESPN is going to be showing games on both Tuesday and Wednesday, is this true? Also when are the actual schedules released?

I've heard the same thing and hope that it is true that way we don't see Real Madrid every week. Unless they show the live match on Tuesday and replay it on Wednesday. :p

Seeing the groups just reminds me that this is far more compelling as a 16 team tournament.

I thought someone was at Rosenburg...Russel? But they have moved on. I think there is a guy at Panathinaikos, as well... Phillipakos?

how the hell did they manage to stick the final 4 from last year into 2 different groups this year? And especially Liverpool's and Chesea's group is HIGHLY unfair

Give the man a prize for memory, and a close prize for spelling Russell at Rosenburg and Philipakos at Olympiakos. (I hope I got those right) Even better, they are in the same group.

Not any more unfair than England getting 5 teams anyway. Man UEFA folded faster than superman on laundry day on that one. Still, imagine how pissed Everton would have been if they hadn't gotten in at all because Liverpool was defending champs.

Agree. The FA wanted five in, they got five in, and Pool will have to play their way through. No tougher the road before them than PSV, though. Betis is rough and Anderlecht hardly easy, but Fehnerbache is brutal, and Schlake really can light it up.
