    Sweet!

Unless they let everyone in for free or something like $5, its gonna look more empty than an FC Dallas game in the Coliseum.

That is not true. I went in 03, 04, 05, 06 and there were huge crowds all the time. In 03 the Motox finals (probably the best event in the history of the games) drew 40000-50000 people and they did charge for admission. It was still cheap though.

    Wow... what took so long?

minus the 6 USC football games per year there. and the few (less than 3) soccer games played in the place... The Coliseum is an empty reminder of what a wasteful city Los Angeles is.

No other city in the world would treat a 2x olympic stadium with such disrespect by basically closing its doors and considering it an after thought for anykind of sporting event.

I am so happy to hear this.

I always felt personally insulted with what this did to our pitch. I associate the X-Games with all the flat-brim cap wearing mouth breathers. It always was insulting that not only was our pitch in poor shape afterward, it was in poor shape because it was buried to entertain the previously mentioned mouth breathers.

Now Chivas USA will have to deal with the X-Games, not us.

    (not saying more now...)

    Re: Hagen das

Well, no other city in the world has an outdoor two-time Olympic stadium, so I'd say that's a dead giveaway.

That's pretty good for a stadium that seats only 27,000 assuming there isn't a giant dirt ramp covering 1/4 of the seats.

They held the motox event in the Colosseum in 03. The xgames is a good event. You always see something special.

I don't really care about the X Games one way or the other, and I don't mind that they exist and that people like them, but I never want them in my stadium again.

This cant be good financially wise. Im pretty sure massive amounts of money was made due to the X Games every time they were held. Never the less, I am very pleased with this piece of information.

Somehow I never lose sleep worrying about whether AEG is making money or not. ;)
