Did anybody see how the Moroccan fans and some of their players disgraced the World Youth Championship semi-final against Nigeria by throwing objects and purposefully making fouls?

They were throwing all types of objects before and after Nigeria was winning the game. Everything from water bottles to a fvcking musical instrument!

When Nigeria scored the first goal, the goalkeeper walked right over to the Moroccan fans and started taunting them. This doesn't excuse what they did but players should be punished for inciting fans like this especially after what has happened in Argentina and Italy.

I'm not sure if Morocco can be punished in anyway since it isn't a home match for them but for an incident like that they need to have some form of punishment. A few qualifiers played in an empty stadium should do the trick.

Isn't this giving away the results in a thread title? That's not kosher.

The keeper had objects thrown at him before the game even started. And he didn't incite the fans after the first goal; he was celebrating to the small pocket of Nigerian fans that were at the game.
One of the Moors spat at the Nigerian captain after the Moor was red-carded.

The disgraced is aimed at how the fans and players acted. Not the result. And there was nothing ever said about not giving away a result, especially after it was shown live on TV. :p

I am sure this incident will not go over well in Holland consider the already considerable dislike/suspicion of the general public to the large amount of Moroccan immigrants in the country. Sucks for them.

Not to excuse what happened, but I also remember a player from the Nigerian team during the shoot-out at midfield running up close to a Dutch player and taunting him to his face when Nigeria had made a penalty that could have won it for them.

Hopefully these players learn some maturity to go along with their skills.

They can and should be punished. We had some similiar neutral court incidents here in some other sports.

No reason for not punishing them.

There's a repeat of the match on FSC at 1100 EST if you want to see what happened. Hopefully no one edited the tape to censor the hooliganism that took place. It was funny towards the end of a match when a drum or something came onto the side of the pitch. :p

the north africans and sub-saharan africans probably don't like each other too much, and the moroccans didn't want to upset all their peeps that live in the netherlands and germany.

remember pim fortuyn and theo van gogh!

The majority of the Moors at the match live in Holland. Not that many Moors can afford to travel to Holland.

Those people should've smoked a couple of joints before the match, then there wouldn't have been that much hooliganism going on. :p

from what I heard there was quite some trouble going on in Kerkrade town after the game as well.

How come they never try this at Ajax or feyenoord games? Cause they're cowardly scum, that can't do better than beat women and little boys, that's why.

Of course you shouldn't judge the Moroccan community as a whole, but not once has there been the slightest bit of self-criticism from their side. Those people need to sort themselves out because one of these days things are going to get very, very ugly.

Well, it happened over here so I guess :)
Haven't seen any news yesterday though.

What kind of trouble? People are fed up with them for a variety of reasons. And since there isn't the slightest trace of self-regulation in the Moroccan community, this only gets worse. It’s a bit too offtopic to go into details, but the tension between Moroccans and Dutch keeps rising. And this incident doesn’t really help.

I take it your saying they have a history of beating up little boys and women or what? Do you have a source for that? I can understand some Moroccans are troublemakers, but what country doesn't have those kinds of people. I see you have a us vs. them mentality about this. Why are they cowardly scum because they dont cause violence at ajax of feyenoord games??

    Holland
The problem with Morrocans in Holland is that they are a real pain in the ass. They commit a lot of crimes like robbery, racketeering, theft and burglary. Most of them live here for ages and still don't speak Dutch, a lot of them live on welfare too. They hang around in groups, causing trouble and threaten innocent people who pass by.

This is incident # 999.999, I personally am sick of them and if you ask me we should either deport them or shoot them all. Call me a racist but if you'll ever live in one of the big cities of Holland, you'll know what I'm talking about...
