In that little bit of time - the time it will take you to read this column - seven United players made critical, all-out plays on the ball to keep United ahead, while others did their job marking and running and doing all the little things necessary to secure the victory. Those last four minutes were absolute team soccer, absolute heart and absolutely something that could finally define exactly what this club really is all about.

Perhaps Ed has pointed out that thing which is different from the way I see the game and the way someone like Sormun see the game. There's just more to it than beautiful passes and goals.

Ed just happened to highlight these things better that I could have... but then again, that is why I'm not a professional writer.

I like how he placed emphasis on this portion of the match. It's true that in the past couple games we've been finishing matches. Even if we hit a small lull we've been going all out for the final 5-10 minutes of the match.

Our performace against SJ reminded me of the US killing the game in injury time against Mexico in the WC. If there had been a card on Roner for pulling down Olsen in frustration it would have been spot on.

PS I think he's right about the movie "They Live." I think Roddy finds some sunglasses that allow him to spot aliens or something. If we got hold of those, I wonder what the LAGals would look like?
