Ian Sawyers named GM/Head Coach of the NJ/NY WPS franchise, Sky Blue. I have to admit until I looked up his bio, I had forgotten Ian was the head coach of the Cyberrays in 2001 when they won the Founders' Cup. Only three coaches can claim that honor. One the current GM of Chicago, and the other still the head coach of the Freedom. Not too shabby.

I thought I would start a thread for them. They announced the signing of their first coach; Ian Sawyers. He's also going to be the General Manager. He coached the San Jose team in the WUSA. Also he's married to Julie Foudy.

The Soccer America article also mentions that they will be playing at Rutgers

Didn't see the previous post on the same topic. Mods feel free to merge.
