I don't know about you guys but if NE blows it again in the playoffs this guy might want to make a move....how awesome would seeing Twellman in a galaxy uniform getting crosses and through balls from Becks?

    Its a dream I know...but a damn good one!

    Answer: No I would not.

We don't need Twellman. There are other strikers out there that would be willing to come to play for us and take Xavier-type pay. Andy Cole comes to mind.

Of all the faces that danced through my head when I clicked on this thread, Twellman was not even close to being one of them.

    Great MLS player.

    not as good as Landon.

No, I'd rather stick with the guy who's won 3 MLS Cups than get the guy who's won none.

I was ready to point out that some currently in-form player from one of the top European leagues was not a good bet because he probably only had one more year left at top form. That would be a reasonable discussion. Talking about any other player in MLS right now, except maybe Beckham, is not even a talking point. Twellman and an equivalent MLS player who is in his mid 20s and another decent MLS player for Donovan, and maybe people start talking. Maybe.

There's one player in this league who, at his best, in this league, can take the ball with no help from his own penalty area and score. Multiple times in one game. We have that guy, and he's not Beckham.

    No way.

Twellman is a good MLS player, but never do we trade Donovan for him.

Can you imagine the frustration on Beckham's face after Twellman whiffs for the fifteenth time in a game, or volley's a point blank shot right into the keeper's face?

Obviously you are a moron. Your too caught up with the NBA and MLB. At least Twellman isn't afraid of big games and he scores in them, unlike your landy.

You clearly know something that I don't, so go ahead and put up some stats showing that TT has score more in competitive games for the USMNT, in the MLS playoffs, and in cup competitions.

MLS Cup 2001: Donovan scored 1 goal
MLS Cup 2003: Donovan scored 2 goals

MLS Cup 2002: Twellman scored no goals
MLS Cup 2005: Twellman scored no goals
MLS Cup 2006: Twellman scored 1 goal

So it looks like it's 3-1 to Twellman and Donovan has 2 championships to show for it.

But hey, let's not have facts get in the way of your name-calling there.

You gotta make that trade if your the Galaxy... TT has to be here.

    Think about it:

Taylor "Teabags" Twellman & Nick "Dropin' loadz" Manning

Together in a buddy porn where they obliterate the competition by taking out the Russian Womens Handball Team.

Oh man... thats a DVD that should come with a handi-wipe.

Twellman would be a good pickup for Donovan because he would leave cap space open for another Xavier-wages-type player.

Twellman wasn't even someone I considered when I read the thread title. Twellman's a cherry picker, rarely does he create his own chances. LD stays!
