Yes its me the yacker of yackers!! Well to put it simple, soccer and art dont sound mix and match but it has a profound affect on attraction and represetation. the logo is a matter of how to present your team and help fans or foes recognize the symbols of each team. Color is fine though but the key structure is the format of the logo. Anywho here are my dislikes and likes! so deal with my wraith but in all i just want to get it out of my chest. To all fans on bigsoccer and MLS, thank you for viewing my message (even if is stupid and silly) but man we need to see that logo making for teams is not 2 be made cheap shot or lame. Anywho enjoy!
My Dislikes Columbus Crew- Dont get me wrong but this logo is out of date and it needs to be simplified. Even though it has history it has to change. New England Revs- Another logo that needs update and it has to represent the entire area of New England both historically but present spectrum. Houston Dynamo- Overall, this logo is the over done and over complicated (even though im a fan of the dynamo). this logo has to go out the door and never return. Kansa City Wizards- TOO MANY LETTERS!!!! NYC Red Bulls- Even though its comapny name on the team, its logo is over done also, its complicated and too many details (one example to see is Cruz Azul od Mexico logo, no contest on dat) Chivas USA- this team shouldnt even exist but the logo copy cats the original team. LA Galaxy- New logo it too cheaply easy and not enough design input, to put all tis cheap cheap (Even the old logo has its stint). Real Salt Lake- Two design flaws on the logo, one the crwon shouldnt even be there (cuz only kings can give that tittle, see Real Madrid logo info on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_madrid#Colours). the other is that they have too many details, not even easy to draw on paper. Seattle Sounder FC- TOO MUCH DETAIL ON THE LETTERS!! (Colors are great and the shield is unique).
MY FAVS!!! Chicago Fire- great logo shape and colors. Cuz its unique and flaming great! DC United- Well this has no defect nor any complication, but maybe doing a new logo could be in suggestion. Toronto FC- RED, WHITE, and GRAY. Now dats a logo design! the Canadian Way! Colorado Rapids- Shape and Colors are the best ived seen. LOOKS GREAT!! FC Dallas- Great design with the bull and lettering is placed correctly. San Jose Quakes- Colors and badge shape make it unique in form. (However the lettering on the bottom has to go somewhere!)
For New England Revs fans: Now this one has that New England Flag and is done with pride or this one Well its simple but its better if the letter R is used on the badge on the jersey.
to Real Salt Lake fans to look at: King pay homage to any orginisation even sports. The crown of Spain of Juan Carlos I of Spain his crown on top the Real Salt Lake soccer teaml logo.
These are pretty cool, keep them coming. Always interesting to see what artistic people can do with existing themes.
From worst to least worst: 1 Crew 2 Wizards 3 Earthquakes 4 Revs From best to least best: 1 Fire 2 Toronto 3 United 4 Dallas Everyone elses logo is perfectly good but those are the standouts.
New England has the worst logo hands down, it looks like a child made their logo. I think they should have something similar to Bristol Rovers, but with revolutionary soldier.
I hate New England's Crayola logo and Columbus's pseudo photo. NE's would be good with a crisper finish and the rest of the Crew shield is fine.
The Ch*cago Fire logo is one of the most unoriginal logos in sports history. It's just a reworked version of the logo used by nearly every fire department in the country. Ex:

As has been said... That is the freaking point! Theyre called 'Fire' for a reason. And as for 'unoriginal sports logos', please! How many sports teams use a modified fire department badge for their logo? Not surprising that an argument this dumb is coming from someone in nordecke.
You know everyone seems to to love Chicago's crest.. and it is good. My only problem with it is that if someone is wearing a Chicago Fire shirt or hat, the casual person passing by them on the street is just gonna think that person is repping the Chicago Fire Department.
