"You know, there's nothing wrong with that name." "There WAS nothing wrong with it. Until I was about 12 years old, and that no-talent ass-clown BECAME famous and started winning Grammys!" "Why don't you just go by Mike, instead of Michael?" "No way! Why should I change it? He's the one who sucks."
Damn...Talk about overestimating one's talent and appeal...whoever put him up to this was not his friend.
Re: Re: Worse cover/sampling of all time? The Frente version is quite good. That whole Frente album is good.
F_cking hell, did this actually happen ?????. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Cover=All Saints-Under the Bridge. Or Madonna's American Pie Sampling=Vanilla Ice-Ice Ice baby
To the Spears cover to "Satisfaction" I'd also like to add the Samantha Fox version of it. Also at about that time Tiffany did her wince inducing cover of "I Saw Her Standing There". Ah yes the late 80's.
I have to go back awhile to find things that match some of the atrocities already mentioned. Some bad metal/hair band did a cover of "Anarchy in the UK" (changing it to "Anarchy in the USA") that was extremely painful Worst, Fun Boy Three (former members of ska-revival legends The Specials) did a really embarrassing version of "Our Lips Are Sealed" by the Go-Gos.
