William Shatner's cover of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" sunk to new lows in depravity.

You are so right, that dumb broad is on the tele right now. My god what a no talent! That broad only sings about 25 percent of her songs the rest is done by the backups.

Puffy sampling Duran Duran's "notorious" for some Biggie song. That burned me up to no end and well Capitol freaking let it happen because they were finished with the boys from Birmingham and were milking the money from them.

The Cardigans covering "Iron Man" eewwwww scary stuff.

Olivia Newton-John's cover of Bob Dylan's "If Not For You". It's bad luck just hearing a thing like that.

Any cover song done by Michael Bolton...

Any sample taken by Puffy or whatever he's calling himself these days.

Lastly, Aaron Carter's cover of "Candy".. before you start into me, I have a 12 year old sister and she absolutely loves Aaron Carter so I've heard the song way too many times.

Well, Duran Duran covered Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five's "White Lines", so what comes around goes around.

Mauling, that hits it spot on. I was always blown away at how bad that cover sucked considering they did good covers of things like "Big River" and "Turn on Your Lovelight" and "Iko Iko"

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's must have liked what they heard, because no track was put on that cd without the prior approval from the original artists. Supposedly, there was even a seance held to see if Jim Morrison approved of their cover of The Crystal Ship (that's just a rumor though). Duran didn't want to piss anyone off, they did the "Thank You" cd as a tribute to the artists and songs that influenced them.

"Born to Be Wild" by the Cult. Although I loved the album it was on, this was a real stinker.

    Worst cover.....Kelly Osbourne...Papa Don't Preach...
not that the original was that great, but the fact that she is trying to make a career out of nothing is sinful.

Amen about Bolton. I'd just love to see any of the Isley Bros. (especially Ron "Mr. Big" Isley) open up some whoopass on Mr. "I have no talent, I just live on the music of R&B artists of the 50s and 60s."

And please tell me the "Candy" song you're referring to isn't the 80s jam by Cameo? Outrage of outrages if that's true -- hard to blame the kid since he's being pimped, but the older heads ought to know better.

My vote -- N'Sync's version of the 80s Johnny Kemp song "Just Got Paid." Just another reason to wish for the rapid demise of the boy band empire.

How Cake and their "version" of I Will Survive hasn't made this list yet disturbs me.

Twisted Sister-Leader Of The Pack(Possibly the worst of a bunch of bad ideas by TS)

Faith No More-War Pigs(Listen to the Sacred Reich version of War Pigs and you will understand why I hate FNMs cover)

And although it's not a cover,Eric Claptons unplugged version of Layla sucks. If it was any slower .....it would stop.
