No reason to derail the other threads but I can't help myself when I see stories likes this. http://www1.folha.uol.com.br/ilustr...204065572622339&fb_action_types=og.recommends
I'm not even poor and I know how these people feel. http://www.diariodocentrodomundo.co...-redor-do-castelao-assistiu-a-elite-desfilar/
I made that walk and let me tell you, it definitely felt wrong. But not on the way to the game because on the way there there were mostly people selling stuff (water, beer, etc ...). On the way back however, it definitely felt weird. The area around the Castelao is definitely very poor and there were many inhabitants there just watching us walk up the avenue towards the buses. Ended up giving my flag to a little girl that asked for it.
Only Mineirao and Castelao. Mineirao is in a good area right next to Pampulha neighborhood with a man made lake. I didn't really bother to go to Itaquera when I was in Sao Paulo. However, when I was in Sao Paulo, I did make it into the Corinthians CT where Iran was staying and met Carlos Queiroz as my friend had a hookup with the team. We could have had VIP seats at the Iran x Bosnia game in Salvador, but that would have screwed up our stay in Sao Paulo too much.
Ozil made the announcement official on his Facebook page, where he wrote the following: “Dear fans, prior to the #WorldCup I supported the surgery of eleven sick children. Since the victory of the #WorldCup is not only due to eleven players but to our whole team, I will now raise the number to 23. This is my personal thank-you for the hospitality of the people of Brazil.”
