Re: 8 reasons of why we can and will beat England!

Owen has done nothing this WC. This was because of his lack of fitness etc.

England will not be that affected by his loss.

if this isnt outrageous then nothing else is...

we have 8,000 fans that will have to sit out for no apparent reason other than politics and indirect favoritism of the british squad. if u ask me they should just let prince william ref the game and have the queen make the line calls....but we will show everybody on sunday what ecuador is capable of. tin, tenorio and mendez will score for us

I think this is the attitude that Sven Eriksson and his players should have, underestimate their oponent. Because a world power has never lost to an underdog, especially at a world cup.

Édison Méndez may not play against England

We can do without a lot of players but not Mendez, he is simply irreplaceable.

I sure hope it isn't serious, what a bumer.:(

I am not buying this story at all! There is no way in hell that Mendez will not play against England. I don't care what his situation is. He didn't seem to suffer any injury against Germany. No way.....I don't believe it. I hope it's just Suarez trying to screw the English up. If it is true, we're more than screwed!

I don't doubt that he's nicked up, but surely Edison will play unless he has two broken legs.

To me the key to this game is Ecuador holding on for the 1st :30 minutes.
PLaying their game but being solid in defense. Then England will implode as they and THEIR fans will start becoming desperate. I do think Ecuador has to play their best game EVER!

Come on Ecuador let's win this game. If Ecuador can score first I see us winning the game. I hope Suarez uses Lara in the second half and if were losing take Tenorio out and put Patricio Urrutia he's more offensive.
Man I can't wait till this game I hope Ecuador does not back down and has a great game. Si se Puede!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's truly disgraceful! How can one federation receive 50,000 tickets while the other only 2,000!? Where's the fairness in that? It'll be impossible for people like Loraz to get tickets for this game.

I think the most important thing that Ecuador has to do is to believe in themselves. I could care less about what sort of lineup their faced with, or the crowd, or anything like that. This will come down to what sort of attitude they have throughout the whole 90 minutes. They can't be scared of England. They have to pop them right in the mouth; fast! They have to understand that they can play with those guys. Those of you that have been following this team for atleast 10 years or so, know that the worst losses they have suffered has been when their attitude or moral was down. I have a lot of confidence in this teams physical ability to hang in with the English. I have no doubt that they can play "mano a mano" with them. At this point, they just need to believe in themselves. I know it sounds cliche, but in my opinion, that is the only key to this game.

Come out like a bat out of hell tomorrow Ecuador! Fight On! Beat the English!!

By the way....if Ulises De La Cruz and Tin Delgado must be extremely motivated for this game. I hope and pray that Ulises has his break out game tomorrow.

I have dreamt of Ecuador playing England ever since Argentina beat them in the 98 World Cup. I can't believe it's actually here. Fight On!

most importantly...they must fight the fight for the country and show the world that even though we are poor relatively speaking compared to those rich british players that we can still play and that we love our country. may God continue to bless our team...

For those who have not listened to this, I wrote this song for this special ocassion against England.

My misssion is to show my love and to bestow postive energy for MI PATRIA.

The song is called ADELANTE. It is my prayer in a form of a song.
