I don't know anything about women's soccer, but after seeing that we were put in the "group of death" I can just see the U.S. not making it out of the first round. It won't be the same as '98, with the whole switching of venue, and the involvement of WUSA now, I have a gut feeling they won't make it out of the first round and maybe it will bring a demise to women's soccer in the United States.
Which obviously makes you infinitely qualified to comment on what would happen to the women's game in this country if the USWNT didn't make it out of the first round. (Other blatherings completely unrelated to this forum deleted) On topic, I imagine some of the sites out there might have action on the WWC. I wonder if this "Group of Death" talk (which is pretty accurate, IMO) might make April's gals a better bet, both overall and to win the group?
You can bet on WUSA and the Norwegian women's league, so I'm sure plenty of sites will be offering prices on the Women's World Cup. Should be interesting to see what the prices look like.
