Its really too bad there isn't some sort of video feed available for out of towners for these open cup matches. I'd even settle for audio. Makes it tough to follow when you live 6 hours away I know its a $$$ thing, but I'd gladly pay a little more for my DK subscription if it included USOC games. I guess Ill be refreshing Hillcrest Road over and over again.
Bring your rain gear, the weather outlook doesn't look good. At least this is on turf to actually help the game a bit in the expected heavy storm condition. I bet this gets called by halftime for lightning if it ever even gets going. http://weather.msn.com/hourly.aspx?wealocations=wc:USMO0460 I like this one better , but I know more crap weather seems likely with a full day of the atmosphere cooking. I guess the best we can hope for after last night's storms is no lightning if it absolutely must storm again.
Just saw on Oz City that the Rapids are without Ugo Ihemulu, Christian Gomez, Conor Casey, Tom McManus, Bouna Condoul, Pablo Mastroeni, and Nick Labrocca. Wow, I like our chances. Also says the game will be broadcast on the radio -- which IIRC it was last year -- but I would've thought the team would be publicizing as much. Anyone know?
http://www.thebluemoosebarandgrill.com/menu/index.html this is where we are talking about watching the match, right? 71st street location
I just drove by the stadium on my lunch break and they have it ready to go. The soccer goals are up along with the boards. They had the scoreboard on too. I really wish I didnt have to work until 7 so I could grab some predrinks.
Is no one following the game? Opening lineups: Very good to see Lopez in there. Maybe he's not as hurt as we thought? Pore had a 20th minute goal. Colorado leveled in the 36th. Score is 1-1. PBP is at hillcrest road. http://hillcrestroad.blogspot.com/
just for the record the only MLS match tonight Houston @ DC was canceled due to bad weather after they tried to play the game in a downpour
"92nd minute: KC is in a 4-4-1 formation after the ejection. Trujillo plays as the only forward. Colombano and Lopez are both in midfield." that doesn't sound all too bad, hoping we still have some desire and momentum left after the mad dash to knot it up
