Bone is the one in blue boots enjoying his final days at PPL. Brian Sylvestre is the Harrisburg City goalie who has been training with the team after the USL PRO final. There may be other City Islanders there doing the sane thing.
Richie, the answer to the trivia question, "Who is the only player, currently on the roster, who has seen 0 minutes in a regular season match?"
Winner of this year's JT Noone Trophy. Previous winners include such illustrious names as Levi Houapeu, Greg Jordan (two time winner!), and Krystian Witkowski. Expansion Draft. Blake will be GA so he's protected, how about the HGP trio? Still protected? Assuming Corben Bone does not play next game, he will finish the season with an amazing Red Cards per 90 mins ratio of 6.9. This would shatter Toni Stahl's fairly impressive mark of 2.1 from 2010.
It's funny when a guy on the roster, and the first signing last offseason, isn't even recognized. No offense @DaMunk
I thought the season low point was going to be when we all thought he'd be the only signing. Thankfully the last two games happened to make those days not seem so bad. I hope the Union petition the league for permission to carry four keepers.
I have an odd feeling that something like this is going to happen: 1) Union shop MacMath, get no good offers. 2) Union protect MacMath, expose M'Bolhi. 3) Nobody picks up M'Bolhi 4) Union still stuck with 3 GKs going into 2015. 5) Union realize that Blake + M'Bolhi is a disaster come international dates. 6) Blake is loaned somewhere. 7) MacMath is now the backup to M'Bolhi 8) M'Bolhi spends half the year figuring out ways to not have to work, the other half injured. 9) MacMath starts all 36 games.
Scary thing is, that I read this and immediately thought that, you know what, this could actually happen.
10) F.O. will say, after the fact, that 1) thru 9) was their plan all along, and to give it 5 years to bear fruit...
