The last team to win was Tigres in 2018.

    2018 Tigres UANL
    2019 Atlanta
    2021 Columbus
    2022 NYCFC

    Chesco United repped this.

Will the “Campeones Cup” ever be held at the home stadium of the Liga MX club?

Well, Tigres won the 2023 “Campeones Cup”.

But of course it would be nice to see all such contrived competitions, including the Leagues Cup, vanish forever.

All competitions are contrived. But the Campeones Cup is a much more natural idea than the Leagues Cup. Two neighboring leagues sending their champions to face off for a trophy is pretty easy to explain. Makes more sense than the UEFA Super Cup.

Except only one league “sends” their champion. The other league’s champion stays put and gets to host every single time.

    It’s a joke.

If one of the leagues is upset about the choice of venues, they should bring it up in the negotiations that create the event.

They can. In the meantime we, as fans, can ignore a daft "competition" when we see one.

The same goes for the Leagues Cup.

I would argue "competitions" with such an unbalanced format are not worth our time.

What is the point? Especially for what is supposed to be a sporting event.

Sports are founded on the notion of balance and fairness. Except in Concacaf, it seems.

No doubt Liga MX appreciates your concern.

Yeah, it should be obvious by now that CONCACAF is less about sporting merit and more about maximizing games between US and Mexican teams (preferably in the southwest)
