Pretty sure that’s what is happening here. Arteta even alluded to it a couple weeks back, iirc.

Think we did the same with Cazorla, also. Fine by me.

Have you seen what Susanna Hoffs looks like now? It's freaking amazing, it's like she's aged 3 years in the last 30.

Yeah I saw a clip of her recently and was amazed at her age (64), compared to her looks.

Yeah Cazorla is a decent example. His foot/leg was a complete disaster with little hope but we kept him on while he got treatment. EXCEPT that in the end IIRC the UK docs that Arsenal used turned out to be less good than the Spain docs that he ultimately switched to, and I believe are responsible for him salvaging a "lost cause" and playing out his career in La Liga. So we had good intentions but kinda fumbled his care.

Idk if that’s really true or if it was just time that helped heal all wounds and the narrative surrounding Arsenal’s medical and training staffs. Either way, it’s a great story and it was really nice that he got to have that late summer revival to his playing days.

Santi has had nothing but love for Arsenal and the way he was treated, even saying that he wants to talk to Arteta about a role in coaching with the club.

Elneny will be back and will play league cup or dead rubber Europa matches, or come on in games where its wrapped up and we want to protect guys like Partey. He will get minutes.

Same couldn't be said for Diaby.

My recollection was that it wasn't "just time" that ultimately fixed Santi's tendons, that it was a different approach that the Spanish docs took. But I certainly could be wrong. Anyone else with a clearer memory of this?

Santi was one of my all-time fave's. It was really sad the way it ended for him here. I don't know if he'd be a good coach, but I'd love to have him back, at least to try.

According to Romano [or passed along by him] we've reached a verbal agreement with Saka on a new deal through June 2028

I read 200k per week. Either way, Saka getting done, Martinelli done, likely to get Saliba done soon too, all this elite young talent signing on.

Also saw a rumor that Rice has agreed terms with us. Means nothing even if true because we have to deal with WHU but Arsenal is looking like the place to be if you are a kid with high potential.

Those are the same thing no?

Who at Arsenal currently makes more than that? Serious question. I'm curious.

The source that reported the 200k/week figure also claimed that would make him our highest paid player. Fine by me.

Supposedly, Gabriel Jesus is on 265k and Partey is on 200k.

Newcastle might provide the ideal scenario in terms of allowing us to achieve a decent fee.

Ooh that seems like a good fit for him. And it's closer to his Scottish roots/fam/friends.

This morning Im seeing claims that Arteta's summer plan is to move KT, Nuno & Sambi while adding 2 MF, left-footed W and a LB.
