To something like: 2003 US Open Cup Champions! or 3 Time US Open Cup Champions! Show up the rest of the MLS. Just a suggestion. I love the mothership tagline, but change is a good thing.
I think the mothership line should stick awhile. And it only fits with recent and future accomplishments.
I was thinking along the lines of 'Already 2003 US Open Cup Champions. And you thought we would suck.' Or something.
I make it 5 titles this year Eastern Divison league winners DONE US Open Cup winners DONE Supporters Shield winners Eastern Division playoff champs MLS Cup champs Then let's add in a few MVP titles to the mix. And maybe The Fire could enter BBSL in the winter. (talking of BBSL, oh we are not, shame. Is there a website for BBSL? )
Change it already, geez. Give the props/take the bragging rights! That "mothership" thing was/is kinda funny, but it DOES kinda sound sort of umm, Star Trek/dungeons and dragonsish , youknowhatimsayin'? But wait, this is a net bulletin board, duh. Nevermind.

Also, I think the mothership thing is more of a semi-permanent funny... not just a one-week thing. and my final point is that if we are kicking so much a-- ... then why would we want to brag about winning ONE open cup?? it´ll be cooler when we win the triple... then we can really start bragging.
Not like I actually get a vote or anything, but i think the current tagline should stay for a while...we've only played one freakin game in the mothership.
You've never heard Parliament, have you? The Mothership Connection is what defined funk in the 70's and 80's.

I´m too Funk-a-Fied to even begin to respond to that kind of street litter. We´re a team that combines the classic sensibilities of a 1950´s robot with the dynamic flare of a 1970's street pimp. And until you step to Rec-og-nize, the fact of the matter is that we listen to funk and watch soccer because soccer is a game played on a field and funk is music that moves your groove.
I think it should stay, since these fools have just begun to 'witness' said 'power,' but the "I hate that team" quote is really tempting. Can we have a tag-paragraph instead of just a tag-line?
