Exactly what I was trying to say, except you put it more eloquently and less sarcastically. No matter how outlandish your ideas are, in the USofA, you have every right to express them. However, you do not have the right to force others to listen to them. Forcing people to vote would lead to forcing people to learn about the views of every moron who managed to get himself on a voting ballot.
What the? This makes absolutely no sense. You are worried that the people who would usually stay home would now be, HORRORS, educated about a wide variety of political opinion in America? Anyway, two separate proposals are being mingled here: compulsory voting and proportional representation. I'm for both, but I'd be happy with either. Neither will happen.
