Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Juventus continue to suffer from terrible attendances at their Champions League home games. Yesterday’s match versus Maccabi Tel Aviv saw only 6,494 tickets sold, 1,000 of which were bought by the Israeli side’s fans. It is now three consecutive seasons that Juve’s ticket sales for Champions League matches have been progressively decreasing, a trend the Bianconero management is unable to stop.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue So you're telling me that the Fire are out-drawing Juve? What is going on, why is there such a big, prolonged decrease?
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Have never really understood Juve's low attendance. I know everyone hates their stadium. But hey this team plays at the level of an Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich but gets a lot less support. A great mystery to me.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Plus, this season they've been playing amazingly well, which surprised me further. Any Italian able to shed light on this situation?
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue I always wondered why this happens so many times with Juventus, the stadium is awfull, but 6 000 ppl in a CL match ?! probably is going to be the lowest attendance of all the games in the CL groups. Turim is a big city, Juventus one of the biggest clubs in the world, whats happening? i think the Juventus supporters from Turim don´t deserve the team they have.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue The majority of Juventus fans do not live in Turin.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Most of the people of Turin support cross-town rivals Torino. As well as the fact that the people of the city could care less about their opponents last night. When Bayern and Ajax come to town, I'm sure there will be a significant increase in attendance.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue That's actually a bit of a myth. Juve does have a lot of fans throughout Italy, the most actually of any Italian team, but they do draw quite well from Turin itself. The fact is that Juve fans are spoiled. Between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia they have too many games to attend. Juve's played 5 games in the past two weeks. Last nights game was against a team that nobody in Italy cares about or in many cases has even heard of.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Why does ownership spend so much money to win if the people aren't showing up. Where is the inscentive to be one of the biggest clubs in the world if attendence and demand doesnt warrant it.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Merchandise. Juventus sells more merchandise than they make at the gate.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Juventus has the most fans in Italy, they sell out games when they travel to other parts of Italy. The demand certainly warrants it, the attendance is less than desireable but once they renovate the stadium (as fans have been demanding for years), you'll see the attedance rise again.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Those pink shirts last year did sell. I saw tons of em on people (men) walking around parts of Manhattan.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Yeah, I saw there renovation plans...the new Delle Alpi is gonna be like an English stadium. Once it's like that, you'll see the crowds.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Saw one yesterday at a local practice field. Actually, it is a very nice shirt.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue English football fans don't 'care about' Fenerbache, yet Man United still sold out on Tuesday. It seems very strange that a club of Juve's stature attracts such poor gates.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue #1 - Horrible stadia #2 - The majority of people who live in Turin follow Torino. It's the rest of the country and world that follows Juventus.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Man U fans know that they won't have too many CL games to watch this year, so they are gonna pack the stadium before SAF's side gets inevitably knocked out in the round of 16, if they get there... All kidding aside, everyone knows the Delle Alpi is always poorly attended. Yet, Juventus manages to put out a profit year-in. year-out. Can't argue with success, can you?
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Juventus yields millions of euro's from TV rights and shareholders. That alone is enough to sustain a monster club like Juve.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Now would probalby be a good time to point out that Napoli in C1 has almost as many season ticket holders as Juve in Serie A!
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue I'd just like to remind you that Napoli is in Serie C1... although they belong in Serie D.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Fenerbache will get more fans into Delle Alpi as well, they're a more recognized side.
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Isn't that the truth. Keep perpetrating the myth. Torino's average attendance last year was 9,831. The last five home games of last season the attendance was 899, 9309, 8679, 1698, 8240. That's hardly impressive. Out of 23 games Torino had 12 with attendance less than 10,000. They had 4 games with attendance less than 2,000. http://digilander.libero.it/stadiapostcardsdgl/ Where are all the Turin natives?
Re: Record Low Ticket Sales For Juve Games Continue Meglio un giorno da leoni che una vita da Agnelli! And oh by the way, I didnt mean the season ticket comment or the comment above as anti-Juve... And if sports justice in Italy were not administered so subjectively, there would be a lot more teams joining us in the minor ranks for various reasons...(and no, that's not designed as an anti-Juve comment either).
