Why are coaches not nationals as well?

    Pekerman, Sampaoli, Sabella, what other coach is argentinian?

    there sure are a lot of them coaching other nations at WC.

    Also, klinsman and USA

    there sure are more cases.

    It's not this the point of this thread...
    If were taken a decision on if is possible, or less, for a foreign coach train a NT..ok, after this decision would be possible define rules and other adroitness to guarantee that this choice is respected in every sense.
    I think have no sense do this kind of hypotesis..in my opinion.

    Why can national teams havr foreign coaches but no foreign players? Doesnt make any sense.

    I kinda agree. We are theorizing.
    And actually think it could be somehow prevented as any major name will be evident if working as an assistant and, even if no direct contract is in place, his rep would suffer, and there would be a lot of heat going on. But I understand it is not realistic to expect ethical behaviour when so much money is at stake. Something to think about. Point taken.

    I'll be honest, it is weird seeing the foreign coaches but I don't think it's a big deal.
