959 bucks? I guess there are some DC fans out there with a lot more money to spend on shit like this than I do.

 

It's a one-of-a-kind item. I put in a bid at about $600. In light of recent disclosures, I guess I'm glad I didn't win.

 

I probably would have bid $500. Trying to explain to my wife why would have been a rough one.

 

I told my wife that I didn't put in a bid, and she called me back to tell me she put one in.

I agree. She's awesome. She checks the DCU schedule before making dinner plans w/ friends, and looks for vacation spots w/ either soccer or golf stuff.

I guess, from her perspective, that's easier than having me mope around pretending to have a good time looking at 'fun' antiques and crafts.

 

She needs to offer a continuing ed course for soccer widows.
