so the crybaby has decided to suck it up and go to Leverkusen. Good move. Now, who is going to stay in MLS to play next season? With all the departures, it seems we are really going to be looking for new faces to become the marque players. I wonder if the Wizards are going to be able to bring in any new midfielders to help us get back to MLS cup next year. Outside of Chivas, who is bringing in some big name Mexican players, are there any rumors about who might be joining MLS next year from abroad? Any big names? Any rumors about future Wizards personnel moves? just looking for something to fill the time between now and the draft. how about this - who do you want to see in a Wizards jersey? (besides Selma Hayek)
Alan Shearer - old in age only Miklos Molnar - I bet he could still get 'er dun Oliver Kahn - Can you imagine our GA if he was behind us David Beckham - Marketing, Marketing, Marketing, and the fact we could use a winger Roberto Baggio - Why not... Totti - see Baggio Kasey Keller - See Kahn & the one blonde dude from the Panamanian Nats (Martinez?) Yes I know my list is all old people. But I don't scour the Concacaf teams or Dutch leagues to know enough about any stuck, up and comers that realistically would come to KC in their 20's that would accept our cap wage and designation. Unless it's that Yank kid at Torino dude that is now in Serie C. That thread is still the best read on this board.

marcelo MARCELINHO he's 28, brazilian, plays for the almighty Hertha BSC. if we could get him to leaver Berlin for Kansas City he would be a terrific attacking midfielder. he's not the best in Germany, he won't get called into the Brazilian national team (in the run up to 2002 he was called into a few games when a shake-up was needed). He is good on set pieces and is a very good passer of the ball. note: i am a long-time Hertha fan, so many Bundesliga followers may disagree with my assessment of him, but in any even he certainly would be a step-up in the attacking midfield position.
luchi gonzalez, now on the bench (but dressed) at sporting cristal. maybe with him on the field walsh'll play better, but ive wanted him in blue for awhile.
