    Go Spurs

Probably not too realistic, but they're my boys and I'm pulling for them.

    Chelsea of course.
After negotiating the toughest opening matches of all clubs we are still unbeaten.

When we play the Toon we will have played three of the top four from last season.

In direct contrast to the Arse who will have played all the newly promoted teams.

Whinger got his way this time after screaming foul last season about having to play Leeds early in the season. If he had our opening fixtures he would have convinced everybody in islington that a vast conspiracy theory was afoot.

I d say that Spurs or Chelsea will lose first. Arsenal has had too easy a run from these early games. Spurs probably will win the next two and lose to ManU while Chelsea may not survive the Newcastle match.

We've got the easiest run, so I can't see us losing before anhyone else. I'd expect us to win those three games.

Liverpool has it easiest over next three, but I wouldn't expect the question to be settled anytime soon. I'll go Liverpool as Arsenal is about due to slip, especially w/Seaman.

I'd like to see 2 pts for draws.

Chelsea, we won't lose until Christmas. But then again, we might not win until then either!

    Well, Arsenal survived last night.

Through halftime of today's matches, Chelsea is the only one down.

    And then there were 3

Tottenham gives up 2-0 lead and loses on extra time goal. ManU gives up a goal to Bolton at HOME and loses.

    Three remain...

    Next few matches...

    Arsenal
    @ Charlton 9.14
    v. Bolton 9.21
    @ Leeds 9.28

    Liverpool
    @ Bolton 9.14
    v. West Brom 9.21
    @ Man City 9.28

    Chelsea
    v. Newcastle 9.14
    @ Fulham 9.21
    v. West Ham 9.28

Bolton has a chance to play giant killers -- knocking off ManU today and then facing Liverpool on Saturday and Arsenal next week. If Chelsea can take care of it's own business, Bolton might hand them the win in this illustrious :) pool.

Chelsea. It always seem as if Chelsea is the last team to lose a match every season. Or sometimes Leeds United.

For what good it does them!!!!! :D :p

    Re: Three remain...

Well, all three won this past weekend (I guess Bolton isn't going to play giant killer, ManU is just inept at the moment).

Liverpool hung on to win 3-2 over Bolton
Arsenal over Charlton and Chelsea over NewCastle both by 3-0 scores.

    The next games...

    Arsenal
    v. Bolton 9.21
    @ Leeds 9.28
    v. Sunderland 10.6

    Liverpool
    v. West Brom 9.21
    @ Man City 9.28
    v. Chelsea 10.6

    Chelsea
    @ Fulham 9.21
    v. West Ham 9.28
    @ Liverpool

Chelsea appears to have the toughest test this weekend -- play at Fulham. But toughest test is a relative term -- I don't expect anyone to bow out of the unbeaten ranks this weekend.

    And the answer is...!!!

I found this thread languishing in the archives waiting to be retrieved. It was initiated on the 4th of Sept.

And now the answer you’ve all been holding your breath for……

    Drum roll please.

    LIVERPOOL…!!!

I don't think anyone would have ever guessed this one correctly, give L'pool's apparent "struggle" to find their form early in the season, but that's what's great about football, it's unpredictable.

That being said, L'pool is the best... for now.
