With the addition of Nuno Gomes, I think Benfica now has the best team in Portugal. I believe Benfica will win the Portuguese League this season. Porto also seems to be stronger than last season, while Sporting seems to be a weaker side this season than last. Boavista is always a tough team, so they always have an outside chance, but it will be Benfica that will finish in first place at the end of the season.
always a stupid question to ask portuguese people as we'll always select our own teams. Since SLB has the most fans, I expect SLB to win this poll.
Porto........easily. Sporting will lose a lot without jardel and joao pinto for a while. Benfica can get all the players they want, they'll just fade away...they are cursed. Boavista got weaker losing Petit.........With Mourinho in there for over 6 months now, Porto will show heart and fire & win the League
Benfica's year, Mourinho will be gone by the end of the year, that's my prediction, they were cursed by Octavio.
Sporting is still the Champion until we are dethroned. Enjoy it while it lasts. It's between Porto and Benfica.

I say its between Porto and Benfica, sporting is going to be hard pressed to win without Jardel, and Joao Pinto, and Boavista lost Petit
how will win the portugese leauge i think benfica boavista and porto but sporting is not going to good.sporting does not joaopinto he is sespendid for 3 mounts.so sporting shall do awfull in the first 3 mounths. but banfica has a slight chance. they have armando petit(from portugal)and nunogomes(portugal) so benfica is probly going to win the portugese leauge.
Just to clarify, JVP returns October 17, so he misses 4-6 games at most. My picks for the league title: 1. Benfica 2. Porto 3. Sporting 4. Boavista I think the top three teams will be separated by just a few points.
