Show me their lineups first. Right now all I know is that it's Rongen versus Ellinger.

    Advantage Rongen

No offense, but this question is absolutely rediculous. Even if Chivas have Rogen, what if he gets a bunch of one-legged midgits? (again no offense) I know this is a crazy example, but we don't know what players are going to be on what team yet, so it's kind of a moot point.

I think Real will do better, especially now that they have Beckham. Figo's a bit past it though. I thought Chivas was from Portugal though..?

I'm going to get up from my chair, bend over, and run straight into the nearest wall, over and over. Please tell me this is a joke.

ReaL has a chance if they can sign Shalrie Joseph.

I hope so. I just assumed it was, and gave him rep based on the chuckle it gave me. :)

Hey,anybody remember when ice skating in the Olympics had uniform judging? Some skaters had to start the actual skating with less points because they were judged to have not enough sequens on the outfits or the colors were wrong. This thread is almost that stupid.

I'd have to go with Chivas. As it is, SLC doesn't have any players. Since Chivas already named two Mexican players that will be on the squad, that is two against none.

While both teams would surely be at the bottom of the tables, Chivas could afford to put a man in goal, and prevent at least a few shots.

Real, really? Obviously this will come down to the wire and both teams will

Chivas, what self-resepecing player would want to play for ReAL Salt Lake anyways? What footballer wants to live in Salt Lake for that matter?

    I think the Chivas.
I mean look at Real. All this old expensive Stars who where best playere of the world in one year like figo or Ronaldo. But that years ago.
And then look at teams like FC Barcelona with Larson this swedish scorer. Or Ronaldinho. No Real isn't that good anymore. What they need is spirit for the game in every part of their body and not only the millions in their pocket.
Yea the Chiva are gonna perform better.

I think it is a valid question. Based on the philosophies and business sense of the leadership of the new teams, I feel Chivas will do better. Sure, players matter to the overall outcome. However, ask the question in a different way.

If on a level playing field in all matters of the team, other than leadership (including coaches) who will do better.

Chivas is the proven pursuer of excellence.

Salt Lake City is a beautiful city. Went there for the Air Force/Utah football game while I was in the AF. The mormon temple is very impressive. However, it is definately a Mormon town. I don't mean anything offensive by that, but the city seemed to close down at 11 p.m. Nothing was open, not even the strip clubs.

Beautiful? yes. fun? Not if you love the nightlife scene.
