Will the Buce keep the journeyman conway as the main keeper or the older dutch import defending the goal. I thought the bruce was going to get a much better keeper. I thought Rimando would have been real good acquisition to solidify our back line. I'm quite concerned about this. Does anybody have these same worries? Go metros

blank, i can tell you're back from a very long break on the boards. Waterreus, given his ability and resume and price tag, will be our #1 keeper. Conway, who has still got it but will most likely not be a regular starter, will be holding the #2 spot.

Rimando is history, so there's no use worrying about him. We have two extremely solid keepers in Waterreus and Conway. I can tell you its not likely anyone else has been worrying as most here have been following pretty closely what has gone on and we're in good shape.

BTW, you should really post and read more often. We've had many lengthy threads on exactly what you're talking about for the past month or more.

ditto.. no offense blank25 but you must still think the team is owned by AEG and called the Metrostars... FYI...The Red Bulls probably have the best GK tandem in the league w/ Walrus and Mr. Pants!

Waterreus has to start the vast majority of games; you wouldn't use a SI slot on a backup goalkeeper.

my opinion is that we got rid of the weakest goalkeeper when we traded Rimando back.
