Do I have to start everything around here? Honestly, people! Anyway, here goes with this annual tradition. As always, please try and keep this with reported or released information. First we had the news that Syracuse Jr. F Ben Polk and Maryland Jr. D Ivan Magalhaes, both of whom grew up abroad and came to the US to play two years of junior college soccer (Polk, I've read, is actually a US citizen), were invited to the MLS Combine, a rarity for underclassmen not signed to GA deals. Turns out both players were only granted one season of eligibility by the NCAA after transferring so, in the words of Hawk Harrelson, they gone! Today, Ives Galarcep reports, via Goal.com, says that the New York Red Bulls have signed Georgetown Jr. M/F Alex Muyl and Virginia Fr. MF Derrick Etienne to homegrown deals. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/66/u...s-sign-four-to-homegrown-player-deals?ICID=SP Galarcep also implies that Akron Jr. M Adam Najem turned down a HG offer from NYRB and is looking to sign overseas, though that isn't a done deal. Ives Galarcep@SoccerByIves46m46 minutes ago #RBNY wasn't messing around on Homegrown front. I'm told they made an offer to Akron's Adam Najem that was turned down (he's eyeing Europe). Suffice to say, there will likely be a few more.
Clarification and/or Disclaimer: This is the Annual Who Is Leaving Early thread. This is NOT the Annual Who Is Coming Out thread. That thread likely can be found elsewhere, on an entirely different website, as I understand.

I did an interview with someone connected to Ben Polk. He has a very interesting story Born in US to American Father/Scottish Mother - Was an army brat lived all over the World until parents divorced and he moved to England with his Mom. Started looking at University in America once eligible got a scholarship to Genesee CC played one year moved to Herkimer because the coach there promised him an opportunity to play NCAA D1. Scored 33 goals in 19 games had a couple D1 schools interested although Syracuse pulled trigger last January. Played PDL soccer this summer with six other Syracuse players and finally played with Syracuse in 2015. The person I spoke with was unsure why he didn't qualify for a senior season but once arrived to US said he thought he could play in MLS and is happy that he is available for this draft. Think he will be very impressive in the combine and a higher pick. From video he reminds me of a Bright Dike and I was told that is a fair comparison. Does have a US Passport so qualifies as an American player. Interesting behind the scene story of if the player performs everything else kind of falls into place.
Omar Holness of University of North Carolina is rumored to have signed a Generation Adidas deal. http://sbisoccer.com/2016/01/generation-adidas-update-top-targets-eyeing-europe

Stanford University star will forego his senior season to turn pro, multiple sources confirmed to Goal USA. Morris is in advanced negotiations with the Seattle Sounders on a contract that will make him the highest-paid homegrown player in MLS history.

Per an Ives tweet UCSB Forward Nick Depuy has turned down a GA deal. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll be back, but newsworthy nonetheless.
The GA list so far: Josh Yaro Jack Harrison Richie Laryea Julian Buescher Andrew Tarbell Omar Holness (probably)
I'm told Fabian Herbers has signed a Generation adidas deal and will be in the #MLSDraft . That's big for a class that is light on forwards.— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) January 8, 2016
Good morning all. The #MLSCombine rolls on w/day 2 of matches. Latest buzz I'm hearing is Abu Danladi is back in mix for GA deal. #MLSDraft— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) January 10, 2016
Thought this Taylor Twellman tweet telling: Taylor Twellman @TaylorTwellman 31m31 minutes ago Taylor Twellman Retweeted Major League Soccer Keep in mind ONLY 5 players in '15 #SuperDraft played 20+ games. Immediate impact is hard to come by. #MLSCombine
MLS gave a recap of the 2015 SuperDraft, without a doubt it is telling. Not that surprising though, MLS (and American soccer) doesn't provide much for young players to really pursue their dream. I haven't seen much, but having a report on the GA signings...that's also telling. I looked back through a list recently and was like "who's that...and that...and that...and that..."
The link to the MLS 2016 Superdraft video stream: http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/01/11/mlssoccer-com-live-stream-2016-mls-superdraft We will be able to assess the level of success of some early leaving candidates.
