Given the weather forecast the next two days... If they practice outdoors it'll be in a torrential downpour.
I'm thinking huge speakers and some Gwar would really screw up their nights. You get that E-mail Fid?
Just talked to my friend who is on the women's soccer team at Ohio State. She said the nats are planning on practicing at Jesse Owens all week, but "because of the rain they wouldn't let them out on it today." Just thought I'd pass that on.

According to the captions on the following pictures, the USA trained at Obetz Tuesday. http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/photo?slug=ohws10308302010.usa_soccer_ohws103&prov=ap http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/photo?slug=ohws10208302002.usa_soccer_ohws102&prov=ap http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/photo?slug=ohws10408301957.usa_soccer_ohws104&prov=ap
Arena supposedly is going to release the full roster at one o'clock today on ussoccer.com. We probably won't see a photo of the guy standing behind him holding the gun to his head.
Oguchi Onyewu is one big kid. He would not look out of place at Ohio Stadium on Saturday wearing pads.
Poor research, OGHT. According to frequent postings here on BigSoccer, those chicks are too skinny for Cunningham to be dancing near...
A Salt Lake paper said today that Pope will report to camp on Thursday, and that Quaranta is already there. Now I gotta say, if Pope is still the best we've got back there, and Quaranta is even close to making the roster, then something is powerfully wrong.
I back Gooch and Marshall to figure into the defense. I was very impressed with Marshall when I went to KC. Was sitting two rows back from the field in our defensive half of the field for the second half. The kid was a cool customer, and as I say the slide tackle in the box was nothing short of sheer brilliance. Had words with Schulte a few times, but that's to be expected as our Icelandic international doesn't have the quality Marshall does. Either way, was very impressed.
I have no way of knowing whether il Bruce still has any interest in him, but I wonder if he'll have Kyle Martino into camp. He's suspended for Saturday anyway (21 caution points, the goon) so he might just as well work out with the Nats. Tangentially, I heard somewhere that Arena plans on bringing in 30 players. A HUGE number. IMO he's hedging his bets against next Wednesday in Guatamala. If we win on Saturday, then he'll release his stars, particularly the Euros, and play some other guys who are still struggling to make the roster and some young guys who need the experience. If we lose, he'll release the young guys and borderline people and take his first string to play the Guats. Just a hunch.
Some pix from (obviously) Obetz yesterday: http://www.ussoccer.com/editorial/fullstory.sps?iNewsID=232157&itype=4129&iCategoryID=77 First Beasley sighting, Marshall working out, etc.
