In a Yanks Abroad battle of the century, Whitbread flexes his superiority.

I wonder if he will be loaned out to a D2 or 3 team if not worked into the 1st team soon.

With some injuries in the Reds' defence, surely Whitbread is going to get included in the first 16 at some point?

What are the odds that he could?

Surely, Houllier would like to have some depth in his defensive ranks...

Can Houllier put aside the fact that Zak is an American?

Is Whitbread cap-tied to the US? If he is we are going to surely have a wonderful backline in the near future with Gooch, Yi, ect.

I don't think so. He has played with the team, but I don't think in a FIFA sanctioned match yet.

It will be quite a change to have a young backline after all these years.
