I think most of the players should be replaced. We need winners, no losers. I only want Dane Richards, Carlos Johnson, Seth Stammler and Juan Pablo Angel to stay. Dane is a great player. He is just not having a good season after being paired with a bunch of losers. Juan Pablo deserves a second chance. He is not having a good year, but I think he could explote at the natural grass Redbull Arena. Carlos is an excellent player who again is playing with a bunch of unmotivated guys. He's been injured, but I think that he has the physical abilities to succeed in MLS. He is tall, strong and with a fair touch. Seth is a natural tall Mid/defender. He's been doing great overall for the team. Obviously no one is having a great season, but these are the 4 players I would keep. As for the rest, they need to..........whatever

Something that we never considerate about the IP is, the way of how we have to qualified or grade this players. For me, a foreign player that come to take the place of a local one, have to be because he play a class of futbol that no body in the country can do or as a DEV players, he have some qualities that can develop in something extraordinary for the team and the league in the future, if not, he has not buissnes to be here....We have more than enough mediocres local player all ready....

Now, in between IP and Local players I have 12 of them identified, that in my opinion eventually they have to go, but before that, I will like to see them playing under Richie direction the 8 games reminding of the season and see what happen....

Regarding all this, definitely I think that Rojas, Celades, Pacheco, Goldy and Boyens have to go ASAP, they aren't MLS material and they never will, they are a liability that we can't afford if we want to have a competitive team in the future....

JPA, Petke Stammy, Hall, Zimmerman and Kandji should all stay. Everyone else is just what ever.

Celades was the catalyst in 2 of 3 goals today (FC Dallas match for reference if this thread goes on for a while). they weren't just goals made from a rebound such as the GWG, but they were creative, attack minded passes that lead to goals. I don't know if he's worth whatever we're paying him since he's a health liability, but I do know that he's one of the only creative minds in our midfield.

for me the players that MUST stay for RBA and beyond are JPA and Zimmerman. Must go, no questions asked players would be Pacheco, Ubi, and Sassano. everyone else is on open try-outs for the next 7 matches.

for metz, yes i think Rojas should be given a chance to try out for some sort late game offensive sub.

I really feel sorry for Juan Carlos Osorio, I still think he is a great coach with good international experience. The thing is that Osorio could not find a way to get the team together and lost control. They won their first game after JCO resigned. I was wondering if they did not like him becuase 2 victories for the whole year is really embarrassing. I hope Richie Williams could win at least 5 more games. This will be very special for this team and fans.

Woly forever has a place on this team, as long as he is not starting. Third or fourth forward, absolutely.

Every other player shouldn't question if they are replaced. This is the Rich Kotite New York Jets.

Kandji's always injured and only plays well against poor teams. You gotta keep a guy like Wolyniec who is the 12th man and can give the team a spark.

Yes, I'm sorry too.....that he didn't leave earlier.

"Good international experience"? He was an assistant coach with Manchester City and a head coach for only one year in Colombia.

I don't see how you can leave Hall off this list. I think he has been very impressive in his rookie year playing at a position he did not play in college. I think Borman is a player who is cheap enough to be a valuable bench guy, playing different positions. Likewise, Woly is a valuable bench guy who hasn't scored many goals but has scored some very clutch goals. I also think that Zimmerman is very raw, but there is enough potential there to make him worth holding on to for a year or two. Of course, the last 3 may not be starters but they still have a role.

I'd keep: Cepero (if a cheap backup), Hall (potential), Zimmerman (potential), Petke, Celades, Angel, Kandji, Wolyneic (as a backup/sub), Stammler.

Jury out on: Obster, Krupnik, Johnson

I can lose Rojas, Richards (fast, but can't cross for his life), Pacheco, Goldthwaite, Boyens, Coundoul.

If there is a team somewhere who will take JPA's salary, and if he is willing to go there, I'd let him go on a free transfer. I love JPA, but at this stage of his career I think we can get better value from our DP slot. I'd rather use it on a quality attacking mid.

However, if the league will let us keep the two DP slots and if RBNY is willing to spring for a second DP, then I say keep him.

to be fair to Richards he is a good player in his own little way and does deserve to stay, i mean all our players sucked under Osorio. Dane was alsmot rookie of the year in his first season a did pretty dam good in our playoff run last year. this year has been poor for him and he deserves chance to prove himself again. i mean not many players did well under that sorry excuse of a coach we had. as a matter fact no one player did anything worth talking about under him. Zimmerman had some flashes but in the end he has no assist or goals to show for it so nothing really .

we should keep JPA if he is willing to fill a non DP slot given we get another player better than him .

Since JPA has a guaranteed contract at DP money, why would he accept less?

Exactly what I think about Angel, but I go little far, we need two new DP, young fellows 26/27 something like that, not have to be big stars, just good players like Montero, Landin, Padilla and not old goats....

By the way, have you seeing the Chivas Roster, they have 30 players listed, 5 are in the Disability List and I presume they have 5 substitute players, Why in hell we can have one substitute for Mendes, why they don't bring a kid from our developers team and give him the chance to prove him self in this couple of game left this year....

Your team has a lot of good players and should have made the playoff this year. You have a lot of players who are very good with ball at their feet. Even if everyone stays, you should do well. But the defense needs to be re-worked.

We've seen what they do when the team is crappy. Petke, may be Stammler, one or 2 others, kept their acts together. And there were a few, I think we all know who they were, who turned into wastes of oxygen: those should go (sadly, Richards is one of these). Then a bunch some where in between, unfortunately Angel is part of that group.

Now, I hope, we see how they all do in a more positive situation.

We have to be realistic here, I my self are one that believe that the Angel time as a player are gone and that for MLS standards he don't deserve all that money, but he alike the cat and the dog in this team, he has a guaranty contract for 2010 (A thing that I was don't know before), so, why he will through a $1.5 million dollars away, no way Jose....

Now, we need some body to work as a SCOUTING persona for this team, and if they offer him this position, say for a 1/2 mil plus a bonus of one mil plus lunch money by year for two years, I'm sure he will go for it....But as a player he will not accept a penny less and he have the guaranty to go with it....Remember that as a player if they offer him a bonus have to be with CAP money and as a SCOUT or the Gus position will not...

He was the best player on the pitch yesterday. If we can get a decent attacking midfielder Angel would still tear up this league. And next year were on grass! That shold aleviate his back problems alot.

    Keep:

    Cepero-Capable MLS Goalkeeper
Angel- Amazing what getting the ball consistently does for a forward.
Hall- Talented rookie being played out of and in multiple positions his rookie year and performing adequately.
Wolyniec- Veteran workhorse with a great attitude.
Kandji- Talent is there not sure about heart though. A competent coach may be able to bring it out of him.
Petke-Same as Wolyniec. Still our best CB which says alot about what is wrong with this team and no slight to his ability.
    Stammler- MLS quality player.
Richards- When used correctly can haunt defensive players in MLS. Can't cross or really dribble out of traffic but if he could, he wouldn't be in MLS. Again MLS level talent used incorrectly by the former coach. K.I.S.S. method seems to work best with this guy, Ritchie seems to get it.
Borman- MLS level player. Hard worker.
Zimmerman- Rookie. He's raw but has shown glimpses of being able to stick in MLS.
Sinisa- MLS level player. Not quite a starter.
Sassano-MLS level player. Not quite a starter.
Mendes-MLS level player. Hard working veteran presence.
Draft picks Effectivelly MLS version of lottery tickets. They must be kept and not traded off for donuts and a bag of balls.

    Jury still out.
Lobster- Has 7 more games to prove he can hold down an MLS job.
    Mbuta-n/a Hasn't been given a consistent chance.
    Garcia- Just signed.
Coundoul- What is his salary? Shot stopper. Thats about it. Weak at positioning.

    Gone.
Celades- Signed a one year contract if not mistaken. Injury prone and older, doubtful if he really wants to come back for another year of this circus.
Rojas-Barely bothers to actually play for a paycheck. Pales in comparison to RBs former LW DVB.
Pacheco- Can't cut it in MLS. Beaten out by a 12k salary a year player.
Goldthwaite- Constantly caught out of position, ball watcher prone to mental lapses, poor passer. Likes to punch people in the middle of games. Good for one F@ckup a game that costs this team dearly.
Johnson-Card machine with poor positioning. Just a meh player. Couldn't cut it in second division Norway not much better here.Outplayed by a college rookie being played out of position.
Krupnik- Six figure salary for a bench warming buddy of hopefully Ex GM Agoofs brother.
    Boyens-CYA
Agoof-One of the most incompetent GMs this franchise has ever had.

it was mostly the coach's fault. he played a bad formation time and again and constantly played players out of position. many of the same players played at least decently - if not well - together last season. do you think it's a coincidence that they suddenly started playing like a team right after that sorry excuse for a coach quit?
