Re: Re: Not a Dig at all....just an observation. Well said, the late '70s is when I started watching the Bundesliga. Allen Simonsen up front and Rainer Bonhof launching long-range rockets. Another team who look like they've got creative management is Energie Cottbus - they took a team with no credentials (that I'm aware of), made it to the big show and stuck around when all the wise guys predicted immediate relegation. They did it with a strategy that 'gladbach used back in their heyday- get less expensive foreigners. At one point a couple of years ago, nobody in the starting lineup was German!
