Well theres also complete swathes of the city full of hipsters and yuppies financiers and white-collar types (I'd say around 3 million if not more). They all live in the good part of town, surrounded by outer rings of poverty and poorer people/urban decay. It's actually not unlike every large American city I've been to.
Sorry guys, I wish I could merge my response. Good thread btw. You realize that the soccer market in Chicago is pretty tapped out. I mean...We've had Barcelona play here, Chivas-America, and you know...the Fire/Blanco for 17 games. I think the market was a little tapped out, especially for a midweek game right before the David Beckham Experience rolled into town. The casual soccer fan isn't you know starving for a game and his wallet is probably a little light. They probably should have played in Seattle.
