We have plenty of positions based on the manager, the players called, the rivals, AFA, my grandma and my neighbor's maid.

Simple. Where do you expect the Argentine NT to reach in WC'10?

Dunno, I see it ranging from another first round fiasco to us becoming world champs.

The second round opponent will be one of South Africa, Mexico, France or Uruguay.

If you ask me, we're going all the way. I'm going to assume the best, enjoy the ride, and then if it doesn't happen, as they say: "quien nos quita lo bailado?"

I hope we could reach semi-final, which is better than the last one...Isn't it the bottom line for AFA?

And surely pray for a miracle to be the campeon!!

The way i look at it is how many goals do we concede in the first 5 matches and how good is our defense, so ill really let you guys know after i watch those matches. Im happy with the direction the defense is heading so we'll see if they step up and lock down cuase thats what it comes down to in big tournaments like these.

I think they'll go all the way to the finals.

BTW by looking at your predictions it seems like most of you think that Messi plays on some other team or Di Maria is not argentinian or Higuain is French or something?

I dont know but do you guys realize that top goal scorers of Barca/Madrid are on our team? and 2 defenders that are leading 2 backlines in the CL finals?

Man sometimes when i read your posts and your predictions they make me laugh seriously you guys sound like ur NT is Korea or New Zealand or something be realistic and enough BS!

Our freakin subs are Aguero/Tevez/Pastore and you guys are freaking worried thats just dump! sorry but it is

If you don't believe in this team winning, then what's the point of being a fan at this world cup.

"Realistic expectations".... you throw those out the window at a time like this.

If it plays out like that, then it would be awesome. First we beat our little next door neighbors, then we beat the colonialist pirates who stole our islands, then we beat our big neighbors who think they are the best, and finally we beat the "madre patria", the former colonialist rulers from whom we gained independence. There really couldn't be a better script than that.

    VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!

If Maradona wins it and Messi dominates, it would make for a Hollywood script. Then Diego can look at Blatter in the eye and say "Seguimela chupando". :D

Seems too good to be true. I hope it happens.

    I'm 80-85% sure we're going to win.

    1. Germany - no Ballack
    2. Spain - fixing scandal
    3. Netherlands - Robben and RVP will both get injured in the first match.
    4. England - Terry problem
    5. Brazil - no Dinho, Adriano, etc. Kaka's bad form.
    6. Italy - as of now, the 7th rated defense.
    7. France - Domenech

We have the best players, the wiliest trainer.

Aguante Argentina la concha de su madre!

i think dunga is going to regret his choices. I can't see the logic in his choices. to win a WC you need more creativity. Even in 2006, Italy had Pirlo and Totti running the midfield and look at the Germany Match: Lippi won it by throwing on Iaquinta, Gilardino, and Del Piero, who is a legend. the mere presence of Dinho would strike fear in teams. I don't think Nilmar and Grafite have that effect

I actually see us facing the Dutch in the final. i think this will be the year they don't fall apart, until they face us that is :D

I'm sorry this is just bad reasoning
    1. Germany- ok they proved they sucked when we played them in the friendly, and without Ballack I will give you this one
    2. Spain- I doubt this will affect their performance at all. Trying to speculate it will affect the refs is just using the slippery slope fallacy.
    3. Holland- always have the ability to knock out big teams.
    4. England- Not looking too great, I'll give you this one but not just for Terry, they dont look good overall.
    5. Brazil- Dunga has been building this system for a while, and he has it running well. This is why they beat us so handily, don't think just because they dont have dinho that they arent going to go far.
    6. Italy- Looking bad, I'll give you this one.
    7.France- See Italy.

You also have to realize that many of the smaller teams are in great form right now so we cant just worry about the big teams.

    Then what are our problems.......

1: Do we have a creative experienced midfielder..
2: Do u think mascharano hold the captian material , by seeing him at liverpool i dont think so..
3:apart from samuel and demi tell me a consistent defender in our side...

problems are there for every one....
