8th for you lot this time round. I am so happy that you'll finish above Newcastle again, only because they have Souness as their manager. You'll better watch out when he gets sacked and they bring in someone else.

    They have a good squad.

I think 6th, just behind Spurs, but just infront of Bolton.

I'd be happy with 6th, but mostly looking for a convincing end of the season. Last year we just limped along from Jan to March and really went out like a lamb.

Everton's got a stern opening test, Pool's expecting to be top 4, and I like what Jol's done with Spurs. I think the 7 to 3 spots will be very tightly contested.

It looks as thought the Premiership now has 4 stages.

You have the top 3, and then the following teams in there respective groups.

    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    Man USA
    ----------
    Liverpool
    Spurs
    Boro
    Bolton
    ----------
    Man City
    Aston Villa
    Everton

    and then the rest.

I would stick Bolton in the 3rd tier...Newcastle should be 2nd tier, but they are seriously messing up their squad at the minute.

I agree with Val, the post Xmas form has to improve. If we can hit form where it usually dips then we will come good. A strong finish was the real clincher for us last year...

The squad we have now, is capable of competing on both Domestic and European fronts...

Newcastle will have a terrible season. Remember who their manager is?

They will get stuffed today against Arsenal also.

I feel sorry for their fans.

If you continue playing like you did yesterday, then you won't finish higher than 6th.

They played pretty well actually from the highlights I saw on Sky, they said they did well to contain Arsenal. It was crap sending off and a crap penalty desicion.

Arsenal were very poor imo. Newcastle were unlucky not to get a point.
