Happy Thanksgiving and happy birthday old man Goodsie! Thanks to both of you for being best of the Big Soccer moderators.
Thank you for the happy birthday wishes, everyone! It’s no fun being old , but having this Thanksgiving shortened work-week does ease the pain a bit. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
8-3-0. Christian McCaffrey’s two touchdowns scored helped the San Francisco 49ers win at the Seattle Seahawks. Next up: a trip to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, December 3rd. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Nothing better than beating the mad gum-chewing, sideline-stalking, cheerleading, bent-neck Pete Carroll.
3-15-2. The San Jose Sharks lost in a shootout against the visiting Montreal Canadiens. Next up: the Shark Tank hosts the Vancouver Canucks on NBC Sports California HD on Saturday. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
The Sharks are a shit show. Dropped by the ticket office pregame (the only times they’re open these days) to get tickets for the Sabres game in a couple months. They won’t print tickets for you because they’re “digital only”, but their credit card system was down so they would only accept cash. They also wouldn’t give me a paper receipt because they’re all digital. Email only. I asked what would happen on game day if I couldn’t get internet access to my tickets. Just come back to the ticket office and we’ll reissue them. So, you’ll print them on game day, I asked? No, they would re-email them. But if the problem is I can’t access my email? Blank stare. Effing morons.
Hope y’all had a good holiday. Hubby fractured his hip in a biking accident, and he got discharged on Wed. Good prognosis, but life is a bit different in my house!
8-9. Stephen Curry’s 35 points scored helped lead the Golden State Warriors over the visiting San Antonio Spurs. Next up: a visit to the Sacramento Kings for the fourth game of this year’s NBA In-Season Tournament on TNT HD on Tuesday. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
On the positive side, it appears that the Quakes are no longer the most dysfunctional sports franchise in San Jose.
Thx Don, Bob and Gabe. Lowell tried to corner his tri-bike over a patch of big wet leaves, and it went horizontal and he landed on his hip. As far as recup, it’s funny how many opinions you get from doctors. The 1st says, 1 year to return to normal activity. The next says, 2-6 weeks. The next says 3-6 months. We’re going to rely on Competitive Edge PT and hope lowell can get back to triathalons. But at our age, being an athlete is a diminishing privilege
I love my PT. I did everything she said, put in the effort, and it paid off in spades. I’m sure Lowell will be compliant and be back on his feet as soon as possible.
