No you are right Tom wasn't with Ralph during WC 94 but he may have been Tom Fitzgerald or Ray Ratto at that time as I remember how the conversation went....

Barbieri said "any tournament with Brazil in it must be exciting".....

Random post: nine years ago today I was named Soccer Mom of the Match. I don't remember whom we played, but I have the fuchsia Earthquakes jersey (old logo) to prove it. And sometimes even wore it to games, back when we had games.

Hunter Pence should have caught that routine fly ball...

Definitely, and he seemed to know it too by how upset at himself he seemed back in the dugout afterward.

Pence seems like a genuinely decent person.

In fact, upon being traded to the Giants in 2012, he quickly became the heart and soul of the team (or at least one of them) that helped propel the team to their second and third MLB World Series wins in the San Francisco era in his first three seasons there.

I heard recently that if there ends up being no college football this fall, that the NFL may consider playing some of its games on Saturdays.

The Giants were leading by 4 at the top of the ninth inning, then let the game get tied and finally lost it in extra innings. :(

Actually they were up by 5 entering the ninth and then the A’s took it to them. Olsen hit a solo homer and then Piscotty hit the grand slam. It is has second 9th inning or later grand slam and the A’s third this season. It was amazing![emoji16]
