Yes it is. If we are talking about Eddie D buying an existing NFL franchise, this is exactly wat we or I was talking about.

this really bummed me out as I was watching BBC World News last night, an in depth look at the homelessness problem in our area, focused mainly on local people who ride the 22 bus at night to find shelter and sleep. Its a staggering contrast (and a shame on our city and local mega businesses) that we live in one of the wealthiest areas in the country and have so many people living in desperate poverty and camped out all over the place... https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3csy5dw
This was one of the major issues in the 2014 San Jose municipal campaign season, and the problem has only gotten worse in the ensuing six years. None of our elected officials can pretend to have been blindsided.
such a tough problem, but one that can't be ignored, for so many reasons starting with the human suffering involved. our response has been wholly insufficient and the problem is growing out of control. we really need a public/private response unlike anything we've ever seen before. the cost of this problem is staggering on so many levels.

42-year-old Zamboni driver pressed into emergency duty last night in Toronto when both Carolina goalies injured. Recorded the win. First emergency netminder to get a win, and oldest netminder to win his debut. 🚨 EMERGENCY GOALIE MAKING SAVES FOR @CANES 🚨 pic.twitter.com/txyjqamfAO— NBC Sports Hockey (@NBCSportsHockey) February 23, 2020
Which is more embarrassing for Toronto? Losing to an old-man-in-the-stands-emergency-goalie? Or losing to the Quakes while playing with a two-man advantage?

I’ve never looked at this thread before. Is this the right place to post this for @Earthshaker’s benefit? 1231993256235290628 is not a valid tweet id
Because I watch and follow both Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I. (both the original and current versions) on TV despite never having been to Hawaii myself , as well as in honor of former San Jose Earthquakes forward Brian Ching, I decided to eat a plate lunch today at Ono Hawaiian BBQ for the first time. It was pretty good. I'll be sure to both try a different plate lunch and finally try a Spam musubi (perhaps among other things) during my next visit there. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G

Caffe Frascati in San Jose's SoFA District is closing. (And a reminder why I love Gary Singh.) . . . Gary Singh, who writes a weekly column for San Jose Inside’s parent publication Metro Silicon Valley, says he’ll miss the café for all of its flaws, from the “ratty chairs and beautifully incongruous furniture” to the “faded literary journals” and “dog-eared travel guides” lining the shelves in the upstairs loft. “Frascati is the only coffee shop left downtown that actually still looks and feels like a real coffee shop,” he says. “It feels like North Beach in San Francisco. Or old-timey Greenwich Village. Poets, musicians, artists, drunks, professors, Bohemian street intellectuals and outcasts all just naturally gravitate to the place. Because they get it. They can tell.” The scuffed-up wood floors and wobbly tables are part of the charm. “At Frascati, everything is wonderfully disfigured and crumbling and gorgeous,” Singh says. “It’s the last dive bar of coffee shops.” . . . https://www.sanjoseinside.com/2020/...joses-beloved-caffe-frascati-is-set-to-close/
